The GOP primary is concerned, now, with one question: Did George W. Bush actually keep us safe while he was president? Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.nn"Bush’s weakness on this front was embarrassingly evident in a weekend interview on CNN with Jake Tapper, where he tried to blame Hillary Clinton for the four deaths in Benghazi because “had a responsibility at the Department of State to have proper security” but then denied that his brother had any responsibility for the 3,000 deaths on 9/11, because, “It’s what he did afterwards that matters.”nnIn other words, if you’re a Democrat, you are obligated to prevent violence, but if you’re a Republican, there is no obligation to maintain security so long as you wear flight suits after thousands of people die horrible deaths on your watch. Tapper pointed out that this is a double standard, but Bush’s response seemed more petulant than somber in the face of so much tragedy.”*nnRead more here: http://www.salon.com/2015/10/19/jeb_bush_is_completely_toast_donald_trump_and_jake_tapper_just_ended_all_white_house_dreams/nn***nnGet The Young Turks Mobile App Today!nnDownload the iOS version here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-young-turks/id412793195?ls=1&mt=8nnDownload the Android version here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tyt Less

The FBI started investigating the security of Hillary Clinton‘s private server amid questions about classified information on that server. And last week, Fox News reported that the investigation has expanded and the probe is now looking into potential conflicts of interest between Clinton Foundation donations and decisions made at the State Department while Clinton was Secretary of State.nnOn CNN this morning, Jake Tapper asked, “In terms of the status of the FBI investigation into your private email server, have you been interviewed by the FBI yet?”nnClinton’s answer was brief: “No.”nn nRepublican candidates have repeatedly invoked the scandal over Clinton’s private server to question her trustworthiness, with several of them even mentioning on the campaign trail that she could be arrested Less

One of the biggest controversies coming out of New Hampshire is the Democratic superdelegates helping boost Hillary Clinton from an over-20-point-loss to a tie. CNN’s Jake Tapper confronted DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz about this today, asking her what she would say to people who believe “it’s all rigged” against Sanders.nnWasserman Schultz explained how unpledged delegates are a completely separate category from pledged delegates, mentioning something about not wanting party delegates and elected officials running against grassroots activists. And something about competition.nnTapper noted, “I’m not sure that answer would satisfy an anxious young voter.” Less

Amy Lindsay CNN Interview The softcore porn actress who appeared in a Ted Cruz campaign ad appeared on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper Friday to defend her actions and defend Cruz.nn“It was a gig but… I knew it was supporting a Republican candidate, which is definitely what i’m doing. And I thought the writing was smart, I thought it was snappy,” Amy Lindsay said.nHost Jake Tapper asked about the Cruz campaign distancing themselves from her as they try to win the largely evangelical state of South Carolina. “Is that is unchristian for them to have done?” Tapper asked.nn“I don’t think it’s unchristian. I think this is politics as usual,” she said. “It was done in a snap moment. Someone has got to make a decision and sometimes it’s just better to take it down.”nnLindsay said that Cruz was still in the running for her vote. “I was speaking from the heart.. I did believe in the message and I put it out there.nn“I have no ill will towards Ted Cruz right now,” she said. “He had a job to do, and I’m a middle-class working girl and I had a job to do.”nnWatch above, via CNN. Jake Tapper asked Marco Rubio if he was in denial about where the real blame lies in his losses. He suggested Rubio may be in denial about who the Republican base is and what it wants in a candidate. Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (ThinkTank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.nn"CNN's Jake Tapper on Tuesday night asked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who ended up winningjust one state on Super Tuesday, whether he was in denial about his chances in the Republican presidential primary. Rubio, of course, denied that he is in denial.nnTapper began the election night interview by telling Rubio that it was "not a great night for you."nn"The past week you’ve been relentlessly hammering Donald Trump. Tonight, he won state after state after state. Is it possible that your quarrel is not so much with Donald Trump as it is with Republican primary voters?" Tapper asked.nn"No, I think you’re mis-analyzing the night," Rubio responded, adding that he expects to pick up lots of delegates in states where he did not finish first.”*nnRead more here: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/cnn-marco-rubio-denialnn***nnDownload audio and video of the full two hour show on-demand + the members-only post game show by becoming a member at http://www.tytnetwork.com/join/. ‘These Are the Rules’ CNN’s Tapper Confronts Trump Spox Over Colorado Complaints A fight broke out on CNN this afternoon between spokesmen for Donald Trump and Ted Cruz over the Trump camp’s complaints about “crooked” Colorado results.nnTrump senior adviser Stephen Miller complained to Jake Tapper about this completely undermining the voting process in the state. He declared, “They cancelled the election.”nnTapper pushed back and said there were caucuses on local levels before the state ultimately ended up with Cruz getting most of the delegates. Cruz campaign chair Chad Sweet heralded the process and remarked on the irony of Miller pushing for “one person one vote” when they’ve gotten more than that in winner-take-all states.nnTapper told Miller, “These are the rules, these have been the rules for months, this is not news, and they outmaneuvered you!” Miller responded, “We have a legitimate and profound disagreement.” (Tapper is correct, the state GOP decided this back in August.)nThings got way more heated when Sweet jumped in to remind Miller that the non-Trump vote is way bigger than the Trump vote. Miller blew up and asked, “Is there a candidate named Not Trump I haven’t met?”nnWatch above, via CNN. Less
