This film is available in 4K - click the HD button and select 4K to view in 4K.n~nWhether in the city or a rural area, surrounded by nature or man-made things, there is but one constant - the sky. Regardless of our lifestyle or surroundings, the sky is always there above us to put on a show. "Skylight” is a collection of dramatic sky shows, captured from a wide variety of locations.nnShooting timelapse has taught me to sit back and take in the world around me. After six years and thousands of shots captured, I’ve seen some special and memorable events in our skies. No matter how dramatic the location, the sky holds the power to make a good view great, and to mesmerize us with the wonders of the world - within our atmosphere and beyond.nnThis collection of unique moments was captured from mountaintops to rooftops to coastline, at locations including: Los Angeles • Chicago • NYC • Tokyo • Singapore • Sydney • New Zealand • Big Sur • Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest • CARMA • Eastern Sierra • Death Valley • Yosemite • Vermillion Cliffs • Mojave DesertnnMore info about the film is available on my blog at: http://chrispzero.com/blog/2016/02/15/skylightnnFollow me to see more of my work and behind the scenes images - nInstagram - http://instagram.com/chrispzero | Facebook - http://facebook.com/chrispzero | Twitter - http://twitter.com/chrispzero nn~nnMost clips featured in this film are available for licensing. On a remote island hours away from Key West lies the largest masonry structure in the Americas: Fort Jefferson. Built with 16 million bricks, but never finished, the fort served as a prison during Civil War. In 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, upon visiting the island, named it a National Monument, and in 1992 it became part of Dry Tortugas National Park. nnBesides serving as a safe haven for the most preserved coral reef in the United States, the set of islands that comprise the national park also protect countless marine animals and bird species. However, the true treasure of this amazing place was noted by one of its most famous prisoners, Dr. Samuel Mudd, who once noted that the the only escape from the hell of this prison was gazing at the night skies. Today, Dry Tortugas National Park is the darkest spot on the east coast.nnThis video was filmed as part of SKYGLOW, an ongoing crowdfunded quest to explore the effects and dangers of urban light pollution in contrast with some of the most incredible dark sky areas in North America. A day before a large arctic air mass was set to move across the Rockies dumping a ton of snow across southern Alberta, conditions were prime for some heavy fog in the mountains. I set out on a trip to Jasper National Park that ended up lasting two days and covering over 1000km to witness the awesome sight of the Rockies shrouded in fog. https://roadtrippers.com/places/yellowstone-national-park-yellowstone/56887nnYellowstone National park in all of its glory (hole). From explosive geysers to star-filled nightscapes, this video captures the stunning beauty of an iconic national park. nnTurn the Volume up, HD on and enjoy this National Park Experience!n*if you are capable of watching in a higher resolution than 1080p choose original on youtube: http://youtu.be/FBpbqaT66os as this film was finished in 4k*nnYellowstone National Park has something for everyone. From Geysers, to thermal pools, to waterfalls, to The Grand Canyon, it crosses the spectrum of natural wonders. nnIt was an absolute joy to photograph Yellowstone. Sunsets seem to last longer than usual (potentially due to the elevation). At times, the technical aspect of shooting was rather difficult because I could only shoot from boardwarlks, which is a limiter. Also, the hot steam from the geysers can fog up a camera lens very quickly! One of the biggest highlights was finding a secret, hot spring swimming hole and enjoying the hot/cold water from different streams. It is also very common to be stopped in the middle of the road for large groups of Bison to cross. This was something I did not get used to. They are absolutely massive! nnThe equipment used to make this video included:nCanon 6d,nCanon 5d mark ii,nRokinon 14mm f/2.8nCanon 16-35mm f/2.8nCanon 24-70mm f/2.8nEmotimo TB3 BlacknDynamic Perception Stage ZeronnFilm + Edit: Joel Schat (http://www.joelschat.com)nMusic: Todd Mowbray Less

The clear structure of the Boskke Cube is a large water reservoir which you can monitor visually. Water is gradually drawn up through Boskke’s unique Slo-Flo watering system to feed the plant, meaning you only need to water it once a month.nn“We have deconstructed the traditional plant pot and put it back together in a literally more transparent way. The clear plastic body reveals the water, soil, and roots of the plant, allowing you to witness firsthand the mechanics of plant growth.” - Patrick Morris, Creative Director & Co-Founder Less

Shot in the restricted runway area of Singapore Changi Airport.nnEver wondered what it's like in one of the busiest airports in the world? With a flight landing and taking off almost every minute during peak hours, it can get pretty insane. nnShoot a timelapse of that, and you get transported to a sci-fi world with shooting stars breaking into the atmosphere.nnThis was shot mostly in the restricted runway area of Singapore's Changi Airport and the surrounding public areas for some scenes. I was so close to the planes that my cameras literally got shaken by the rumbles from the jet engines - Which actually produced a pretty neat effect. (See 2:13)nn[Watch it in HD+fullscreen with your best speakers/headphones for the best viewing experience!]nnThe guys from Changi Airport reached out to me to shoot in the restricted runway area of Changi Airport after they saw my first film from The Air Traffic series which was shot at Changi Beach. It was a thrilling experience as you don't usually get to enter the restricted runway area, let alone shoot in it.nnEven after doing this the second time, I'm still amazed at the results of timelapsing airplanes flying at night. nnBehind the scenes pics and more on how I shot this at: http://miltontan.com/blog/2014/08/the-air-traffic-2-timelapse-film/nnWatch the first film here: http://vimeo.com/55347966nnnCredits:nCinematography & Editing by Milton TannSoundtrack by Tim McMorrisnSpecial thanks to Melvin from Changi Airport for arranging a crew to drive us to the great locations around the airport to get the shots. It took nearly one yearin Hong Kong, 6000 photos and 10 locations to create this music video. After the success of my last timelapse/hyperlapse video "Motorized City" I've decided to take it to the next level and do a music video. Brandon Ho from the local Hong Kong hip hop group, 24 Herbs, came to me with a song and agreed to let me use his track for this video. Brandon had to move step by step and stand for nearly 2 hours for every shot. In one particular shot he had to change his shirt every 25 photos. nnThis song is about Love. The love that is in us, around us, affecting all our lives. The Source, Universe, God, the Force...all names for the same thing.
