Pasted is a preview exhibition devised by design curator Libby Sellers to celebrate the forthcoming launch of the Serpentine Galleries Wallpaper Collection by artists, architects and designers in May 2015. Like cliché tourists, we visited the Golden Gate Bridge, stayed at the first Motel ever built in San Francisco and spent most of our time enjoying the breathtaking views the city has to offer. Cody is a sweet kid from L.A., who came to San Francisco to shoot with me for my Naked Happy Girls show on Playboy TV. Yes, I'm lucky to have her, as well as a big boat to cruise around on, under the Golden Gate Bridge. We also went by Alcatraz later. Needless to say it was a fun afternoon on the water. Tourists seemed to enjoy it all too...n Take your time on this one. Let Cody and her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, amazing tanned body and nice feet with tattoos, warm you up a bit. This shoot reminds me a bit of Iris, who I filmed on a boat in front of the Statue of Liberty. Both women have prominent spreads in my "Naked Coast to Coast" book. No pun intended. What's a kino?nnKino (n) German: cinema, movie theater nnPhotos are static. Each one frames and freezes a slice of time attempting to capture the oft-quoted decisive moment. Cinema is dynamic. Films combine frames and bend and shape time to their narrative will. nnKinos, as I've dubbed them, are somewhere in between, intended as haiku-like images: single dynamic pictures that capture a scene and the action within that scene. I was inspired to experiment with this form by a video created by photographer Patrick La Roque last year. nnGolden Gai | The decisive moment is my first kino. It was shot with a Fujifilm X-E1 and edited in iMovie. For now at least I want to keep things simple, much like haiku poems, and to avoid overly cinematic techniques. I'm not sure how they will evolve, and that's something I'm looking forward to, but I've decided to limit their play time to 30 seconds - the length of an average TV commercial. Less
