New Year’s Eve - New York City (12.31.14)nMusic by: Lights & Motion “We Are Ghosts (Alternate)" - (Music licensed via themusicbed.com)nnThe gathering of thousands of tourists and New Yorkers for the New Year's Eve Ball Drop in Times Square was captured in this amazing time-lapse video. Highlighting the 288 new Waterford triangle crystals signifying "The Gift of Fortitude" representing the inner attributes of resolve, courage and spirit necessary to triumph over adversity. nnProduction Notes:nnThis New Year's Eve production was a follow up to last year’s NYE Times Square video, which produced 18,000 still frames, from two hotel rooftop locations. This year we returned to DoubleTree Times Square location and added 2 new hotel rooftop locations both on 42nd Street facing the ball from the back side on 2 different avenues east and west. nnThe two new rooftop locations made accessible to us thankfully by (Hilton Times Square & HGI New York Times Square Central) rounded out this video with a perfect view of the NYE Ball Drop from all 3 corners. This 2015 video was produced using over 36,000 still photo frames, more than twice the year before. nnThe goal this year leading up to the countdown, was to capture more of the crowd on the streets gathering and to capture the beautiful essence of the NYC skyline as it faded into the last sunset of 2014.nnSpecial Thanks to Hilton Hotels & Highgate for hotel rooftop access.nnLocation 1 - DoubleTree by Hilton Suites Times Square (Rooftop and Ground Level)nCrew: Brandon Cotter | Michael Villegas | Frank VillegasnCameras - 5D Mark iii, 5D Mark ii, Rebel t4inLenses - Canon 24-70mm v2, 16-35mm, 18-55mm, 70-200 f/2.8nTripods - Manfrotto 535, 536, Sachtlor, and BenronTimelapse Equipment - Emotimo TB3 and Promote ControlnnPhotos TakennDay: 6,535nNight: 8,898nTotal: 15,433nnLocation 2 - Hilton Garden Inn New York/Times Square Central (Rooftop)nCrew: Noel Cordero | Shiseido RuiznCameras- 5D Mark iii, Canon 70d, and Panasonic GH4nLenses - Contax Zeiss CineMod Duclos 17-35mm, Zeiss Cp.2 50mm, Zeiss 100mm f/2.0, 70-200 f/4.0, Canon 45mm Tilt Shift, Rokinon Cine 85mm, and 16mm.nTripods- Manfrotto 536, Manfrotto 294nTimelapse Equipment - Timelapse+ remote, Emotimo TB3nnPhotos TakennDay: 1,991nNight: 4,212nTotal: 6,203nnLocation 3 - Hilton Times Square (Rooftop and Ground Level)nCrew: Hector Arrivillaga | Oscar Portillo Jr. | Craig Nisperos nCameras - Panasonic GH4, 5D Mark iii, 5D Mark ii, Canon 7D, Rebel t3inLenses - Canon 24-70L v2, 70-200L f/2.8,15mm, 135, and Panasonic 12-35mmnTripods - Manfrotto 536, and (2) Manfrotto 755nTimelapse Equipment - Emotimo tb3 and Dynamic Perception Stage ZeronnPhotos TakennDay: 4,633nNight: 10,540nTotal: 15,173nnTotal Photos 36,809 nFinal Video: 2:21nProduction Hours (10:30am to 1:30am) 14 HoursnPost Production Hours 33 Hours (Coloring/Processing 18 Hours) & (Editing 15 Hours)nRendering/Exports (5 Hours)nnLicensing Note: For image licensing please contact (Noel Cordero) at thetimelapsegroup@gmail.comnn©2014-2015 The Timelapse Group LLC All Rights Reserved.
