By using our DJI Phantom equipment we were able to flight in places were other bigger drones would have more problems. nThe possibilities of aerial videography are endless, and gradualy we've learn to do more complex movements with our copter to create better recordings. nIf you need more information contact us at info@cromatica45.com Less

Filmed during the most beautiful time of the year in Armenia. Autumn is probably the best season for visiting. Lakes and forests, mountains and historical monuments, painted with astonishing colors of nature !nShooting locations include Parz Lake in Dilijan, Lastiver waterfalls and forests of Ijevan, Noravank monastery in Yeghegnadzor, Makaravank church complex in Tavush Region, Akhtala monastery in Lori, nKhor Virap in Ararat Region. nThe idea of making a documentary in Armenia was in my mind for several years, but only now I started thinking less and doing more. So I gathered my gear and headed to the North West of Armenia, where I was welcomed with warm sun and colorful forests. Then the weather and nature radically changed in South Eastern part, fog coming down the mountains, some showers. Eventually I gathered enough for the first part of my film, that I have dedicated to my brothers and sisters and all Armenians that live far from their Homeland.nI'm certain this will be continued, as there is still so much to see and share from Armenia.nnFilmed using:nDJI Phantom 2 with Zenmuse H3-3DnGoPro 4 Black, with modified 5.4mm lens and ND4 Filter.nTimelapses shot using Nikon D700 and Nikon D5300nLenses: Nikon 24-70 2.8, Sigma 12-24nMusic by: Tigran Hamasyan - Longing (album A Fable)nWebsite: http://www.bartikyan.com Less

Above the grit and noise of the street, downtown Los Angeles quietly provides some of the most amazing visual detail in its buildings and public art works. This is a selection of those buildings and public arts filmed across some 50 different locations in the immediate downtown area and the arts district. There are many many more locations that are not included and are equally if not more impressive. nnSome of the buildings are in disrepair, some have been restored to their full glory while others have been transformed into artworks. In all of them, there is character, color and detail that makes the area a never-ending source of intrigue.nnMusic by Chassol - Odissi, Pt. These shots were obtained with a lightweight remote controlled quad-copter and camera system. The following measures were in place during the filming:nn - Following all applicable FAA regulations (the ones that actually exist).n - Avoiding controlled airspace and TFR restricted airspace.n - Staying below 400ft AGL.n - Avoiding any and all air traffic, airways, airports, etc.n - Maintaining awareness for helicopter traffic and proximity to helipads.n - Flying just above or along rooflines to stay out of usable airspace for helicopters.n - Maintaining visual LOS to the quad-copter at all times.n - Shooting mostly during early morning when possible to avoid crowds and traffic.n - Not directly overflying groups of people.n - Being sure to have direct ability to alert any people nearby in case of potential incident.n - Being prepared to ditch in order to prevent injury or accident.n - Maintaining a minimum height of 100ft above any private property.n - Deleting any shots inadvertently revealing private activities or people in a place of privacy. Once in awhile we come across a real life story that embodies this message. A story of falling madly in love with your dream. Then using that passion to overcome the massive obstacles that appear in the journey of realizing it. This is that story. nnThis documentary was made possible by Frank Casares who believed in us and funded the project. We had a small crew of 5 people and shot on a RED epic, RED dragon, 5D Mark ii and the Inspire Copter. The biggest challenge was the slow motion skydiving scene which was filmed by Craig O’Brien. Those were shot on the RED dragon at 200 fps. Due to wind, we only had 4 jumps to make it happen but Craig and skydivers Brad Patterson and Dalten Kadow nailed it. nnCurrently we’re searching for the next great story to tell. We encourage people to reach out to us if they have one or know somebody who does. nnThanks for watching!nnExecutive ProducernFrank CasaresnnDirected and Edited by nYali SharonnnDirector of PhotographynEric GillespiennAerial CinematographernCraig O’BriennnCamera OperatorsnNorman KentnRichard StuartnJohn LemingnKylor MeltonnGeoffrey BoyntonnnProducersnYali SharonnHarmon ClarkenGrant ChennnNarratornDan Brodsky-ChenfeldnnTalentnDan skydiving: Brad PattersonnJames Skydiving: Dalten KadownDan’s Girlfriend: Adriana Zyskowski nDan Hospital: Jalil HoussainnDoctor: Joe Galligan nnMusicn“Sun” by Nick Rice » https://soundcloud.com/nickricen“Observation Wheel” by Jacob Montague » http://jacobmontaguemusic.com/n“Unheard Parade” by Jacob MontaguennSpecial ThanksnEstee & Shimon SharonnLive UnboundersnSkydive PerrisnDan Rice from People are AwesomenJustin Pelkowski nClaire DegenhardtnAica Vera Valdez Less

Here's a little success story of the power of the Blender Network.nThe Blender Network is a place for Blender professionals, freelancers, studios, developers to market their services, as well as the place to go for clients who need professional Blender power and support.nRecently I was contacted by Francesco Siddi, who runs the website and manages requests. He forwarded me a request by a client, Logan Gilpin, who needed a special tracking service. nBasically he needed equirectangular stabilization.nHe is taking footage with several cameras mounted on a quadrocopter which he then stitches together with an app called VideoStitch (http://www.video-stitch.com). The resulting 10k footage is crisp and clear, however quite shaky, due to movements and vibrations of the copter.nWhat he wanted is to stabilize it so that he can map the stable footage onto a sphere, put a virtual camera inside of it so that he can have all control over the viewing angle and focus if the entire sequence.nSince he didn't find any other solution he wanted to do it in Blender, but needed support with that.nnSo I tried several things. Tracking was not an issue at all. Getting a correct equirectangular stabilization was a bit more tricky though. I tried to use a setup of different constraints to stabilize it, but I was missing an important thing, which is the correct mapping of the equirectangular coordinates.nSo I decided to reach out for help myself. I asked Dalai Felinto, who is also part of the Blender Network and who has worked a lot with equirectangular mappings and used the Blender Game Engine for dome projections. And he was pretty confident that he could solve the problem. But he said that it might be the easiest to write an add-on for that. Just 1 day later he presented me a great solution that works great and is easy to use.nThanks to the flexible Interface of Blender it was easy to implement the functions into the UI of the Tracking Module of Blender.nSo it works like this:nPut your footage into the Movie Clip Editor and track 2 points on the horizon. nMark the points as Focus and Target. Then click the button to create the stabilized camera. If you open the rendered viewport now you can see the stabilized footage. nJust render out the sequence and you can then use it as a stabilized background in another scene or for whatever you like.nSo thanks to the Blender Network and Dalai's help I could prepare a tutorial and workflow guideline for the client so that he can now finish is project with Blender.
