When Tobi Shinobi and Ron Timehin started using photo sharing app, Instagram in 2012, they couldn't have imagined it would completely reshape their lives. They adopted new technologies at the right time, and worked hard at developing their individual accounts. Fast forward to today and they have swapped their day jobs as a lawyer and a touring musician for their new shared passion as photographers. They are favourites in the London space on Instagram, boasting thousands of followers and millions of likes. Not only has their creative partnership flourished, so too has their success online and offline. nnTheir message to others is simple: anyone can take photos.nn-nnTobi Shinobi: https://www.instagram.com/tobishinobi/nRon Timehin: https://www.instagram.com/rontimehin/nn-nnWe are currently doing the film festival circuit.nExpected Release: November 2016nnDirected By: Oliver David Lister nProduced By: Really Bright Media Less

The 'Last Photo' Project is an ongoing video series where I travel to different cities asking strangers about the last photo on their phone.nnTraveling through Chicago for the first time was both gratifying and somewhat frustrating. I found people to be more open to chatting than in other cities (maybe it's a mid-western thing) but simultaneously a bit less willing to go deep with me (maybe it's a mid-western thing). nnCheck out the entire 'Last Photo' series:nLast Photo - San Francisco: vimeo.com/73180322nLast Photo - Los Angeles: vimeo.com/80692249nLast Photo - New York: vimeo.com/81688267nLast Photo - Miami: vimeo.com/95000692nLast Photo - Alabama: vimeo.com/95023516nLast Photo - London: vimeo.com/104988916nLast Photo - Detroit: https://vimeo.com/126819316nnProject by Ivan Cash / LastPhotoProject.com Less

When Summit Entertainment tapped me to shoot the Movie Poster for Step Up All In I was super excited. Every time I have worked with dancers in the past they took direction exceptionally well. The phenomenal cast of dancers cast for this movie did not need my direction at all. I simply let them know where their mark was, what mood we were looking for and let them do what they do best as seen in this Behind the Scenes video.nnWe shot on a standard white seemless dry set and then onto the fun water tank set complete with fountains. The water tank was made by Dean Wadella and Stewart Handley in Vancouver. They worked hard to ensure the water was warm enough for the talent to jump in without freezing. Fortunately the talent never balked and once in we almost couldn’t get them out.nnThe energy from the dancers was endless. The break dancing Monster was exhaustible. Twitch kept nailing the same move without flaw. Andi and Sean had incredible chemistry that made it so easy for me to photograph sexy images for the key art. The amazing thing is that single image of them used on the movie poster is almost identical to the in camera capture.nnThe water set proved to be so much fun. It reminded me of being in a water fight as a kid. Here I gave the dancers direction to use dynamic movements that would be accentuated and enhanced by the water spray extension.nnCheck out this film in theaters everywhere August 8th.nn#stepupallin #monteisom Less

Canadian photographer Donald Weber originally trained as an architect, and worked at urban theorist Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He has since devoted himself to the study of how power deploys an all-encompassing theater for its subjects, recording its secret collaboration with both masters and victims. Weber is the author of three books: Bastard Eden, Our Chernobyl, dealing with daily life in a post-atomic world, won the Photolucida Book Award; Interrogations, about post-Soviet authority in Ukraine and Russia, was selected to be included in Martin Parr and Gerry Badger’s seminal The Photobook: A History, Volume III; and Barricade: The EuroMaidan Revolt, is a collaboration with Ukrainian photographer Arthur Bondar.nhttp://www.worldpressphoto.org/donald-weber Less

Over the years I have developed a few tricks for shooting video from a rope that have made my life a whole lot easier and saved my legs from hours of blood circulation torture. One of the most common questions I get from new videographers is “How do you shoot video from a rope and how do you keep the camera steady!” As a result, I put together a blog to cover the essentials of rigging and shooting from a rope for a simple scenario like sport climbing.nnThere is nothing worse then a wobbly angle of your bro crushing his project to ruin a potentially great climbing film. Follow these simple rules and you will come away with something you can show your mother. Check out my detailed blog on the topic here: Less
