The US Government should not force taxpayers to subsidize an activity they believe is murder. Thus, while I was horrified by the recently released videos showing Planned Parenthood officials casually discussing selling the organs of aborted babies, I am glad that the reaction to these videos has renewed efforts to end federal funding of abortion.nnMy experience in Congress does not leave me optimistic that federal funding of Planned Parenthood will be ended this year, however. This is not just because the current US president is pro-abortion. When I started my efforts to end taxpayer support of abortion, I was shocked to find out how many Republicans, including some self-described “pro-life” leaders, were unsupportive of, and sometimes hostile to, my efforts.nnMost pro-life politicians preferred to add language to funding bills prohibiting federal funds from being used for abortions, rather than denying federal funds to abortion providers. This approach does not stop US taxpayers from subsidizing abortions. The reason is that money is fungible. Giving Planned Parenthood $100 to use for non-abortion activities allows it to spend an additional $100 of its non-government funds on abortion.nnForeign interventionists in both parties were particularly hostile to my efforts to eliminate federal funding for international organizations that performed or promoted abortions. This is a foolish policy that gives people around the globe another reason to resent the US government.nnPlanned Parenthood may have abandoned the explicitly racist and eugenic views of its founder Margaret Sanger, but the majority of its abortion "services" are still provided to lower-income and minority women. Every day nearly 2,000 African-American babies lose their lives to abortion, a rate five times higher than the Caucasian abortion rates.nnI support the black lives matter movement. I have long advocated an end to the drug war, police militarization, and other threats to liberty that disproportionately victimize African-Americans. However, I wish some of the black lives matter movement’s passion and energy was directed to ending abortion. Unborn black lives also matter.nnThe federal government has no constitutional authority to permit, fund, or even outlaw abortion. Therefore, efforts to make abortion a federal crime are just as unconstitutional as efforts to prohibit states from outlawing abortion. A Congress that truly cared about the Constitution would end all federal funding for abortion and pass legislation restricting federal jurisdiction over abortion, thus returning the issue to the states.nnWhile passing legislation may help limit abortion, the pro-life movement will never succeed unless it changes people's attitudes toward the unborn. This is why crisis pregnancy centers, which provide care and compassion to women facing unplanned pregnancies, have done more to advance the pro-life cause then any politician. By showing women they have viable alternatives to abortion, these centers have saved many lives.nnOne factor hindering the anti-abortion movement's ability to change people’s minds is that too many abortion opponents also support a militaristic foreign policy. These pro-lifers undercut their moral credibility as advocates for unborn American lives when they display a callous indifference to the lives of Iraqi, Iranian, and Afghan children.nnLibertarians who support abortion should ask themselves how they can expect a government that does not respect the unborn’s right to life to respect their property rights. Therefore, all those who wish to create a society of liberty, peace, and prosperity should join me in advocating for a consistent ethic of life and liberty that respects the rights of all persons, born and unborn. Where these two animals drugged her, kidnapped her, and proceeded to transport her comatose body to party after party, raping her both vaginally, and anally as entertainment for the other party goers. They are just two members of the infamous "Rape Crew", as they call themselves. A bunch of spoiled football players who drug and rape girls in the community. All the while this girl was being victimized, other guys were filming and tweeting pics to their friends. When the coach found out about the incident, he told his players to immediately destroy any documentation of their phones. He is best friends with the Sheriff who opted not to investigate, even though he has jurisdiction. When the girl's parents went to the Prosecuting Attorney, she told them they didn't really have a case, and it was just going to be too painful for their daughter to take it to trial. The Prosecuting Attorney's son is one of the football players in the "Rape Crew". It goes on and on and on. nnThe 2 guys are being charged as minors. Rape is an adult crime.nTherefore, they should be charged as adults.nnCody Saltsman was originally charged in the gang rape. After a private back-room meeting at Naples Pasta House restaurant in Steubenville, between Saltsman's father, the Sheriff, and a certain Mr. Teramana (a wealthy Steubenville resident) -- Cody Saltsman's charges were mysteriously dismissed. Saltsman is a former boyfriend of the victim of this attack, and it appears there is quite a bit of bad blood between them, adding a layer of vengeance, and viciousness that may explain the raw brutality of the attack upon this girl.nnAny schools that are scheduled to play them next season should refuse to take the field, even if it means they have to forfeit the games. Send them a message.nnEveryone in that community should boycott their games. The shoe fitting fluoroscope was a common fixture in shoe stores during the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The first fluoroscopic device for x-raying feet may have been created during World War I to eliminating the need for patients to remove their boots, to speed up the processing of the large number of injured military personnel who were seeking help. After the war the device was modified the device for shoe-fitting and showed it for the first time at a shoe retailers convention in Boston in 1920. The X-ray Shoe Fitter Corporation of Milwaukee Wisconsin and the Pedoscope Company of St. Albans in the U.K, were the two largest manufacturers of shoe fitting fluoroscopes. In the early 1950s, estimates placed the number of operating units in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada at 10,000, 3,000 and 1,000 respectively. After WWII, the manufacturers of shoe fitting fluoroscopes became concerned that their products would have to meet a myriad of standards that varied from location to location, and they asked the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) to recommend a uniform set of standards. The ACGIH did so and issued their guidance in 1950, an event that allowed the manufacturers to advertise that they met the ACGIH standards. By the early 1950s, a number of professional organizations had issued warnings about the continued use of shoe-fitting fluoroscopes, A few years later, Massachusetts passed regulations requiring that the machines be operated by a licensed physician. In 1957 the State of Pennsylvania became the first jurisdiction to ban the use of shoe fitting fluoroscopes. Attempts to impose regulatory restrictions on the use of shoe fitting fluoroscopes seem to have been limited to the United States . These machines continued to be used in Canada and the UK to a limited extent, at least until 1970. Many shoe salespersons put their hands into the x-ray beam to squeeze the shoe during the fitting. As a result, one saleswoman who had operated a shoe fitting fluoroscope 10 to 20 times each day over a ten year period developed dermatitis of the hands. One of the more serious injuries linked to the operation of these machines involved a shoe model who received such a serious radiation burn that her leg had to be amputated. He was one of the premier choir directors of his time. He never experienced mainstream success but influenced most of the choir directors thereafter. Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, James Hall and Hezekiah Walker all credit Benny Cummings as inspiration. nnElder Benjamin Ronald Cummings, also known as Benny, was born December 31, 1951 with twin brother, Joseph Arnold Cummings, also known as Joey, to Benjamin and Reba Cummings. At a very early age, Benny began his musical career. His mother watched and saw the gift of music upon her son and decided to take him to a music teacher to learn how to play the piano, being a musician herself. The music teacher spent one afternoon with Benny and determined it would be impossible to teach him and she would be wasting her money here. The teacher stated, “Mrs. Cummings, there is so much music in this young man, he would have to learn how to get it out of himself for himself". Just be patient and let him stay by the piano, and watch what happens". The teacher was right. Benny began to learn the keys on the piano and started to develop his own style of music. He sang with the children’s choir, aka Busy Bees, of his grandfather’s (Rev. Dr. Joseph Arnold King) church, "Kings Temple Church Of God In Christ," in Hempstead, New York and lead his first song "Give Me That Old Time Religion". In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 16. He sang with different groups such as the "North Shore District Choir", "New York State Choir", "the Robinson Chorale Ensemble" and many others. nnIn 1973, Benny’s recording career began with the church choir, "Kings Temple Choir,” with the Ambassador recording company headed by the gospel ambassador himself, Melvin C. Walker. His first endeavor was "God's Music Is My Life." Benny and the choir began to travel coast to coast singing the songs of salvation. Many were save, healed and delivered by the songs they sung such as "Sign of the Judgment", "Praise Him", "Jesus Is All the World to Me", "That’s What I Like about Christ, and “It May be my Last Time.” The choir recorded 2 more albums under the anointed Benny Cummings “In Times Like These" in 1976 and "Now" in 1977. nnAfter the death of Benny’s grandfather and pastor in 1978 the choir stopped traveling after they co-recorded their last album with his group The Benny Cummings Singers, “God’s Will, God's Way" in 1979. Then the group began to sing and travel and record such great albums as, "Lord Make Me Over" in 1981, and the last one in 1985 "With His Stripes" with featured the reunion of the Kings Temple Choir. In 1980, The Benny Cumming Singers was honored to record a song with John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono two months before Lennon’s death, titled “Hard Times Are Over.”nnBenny was ordained an elder in the Church Of God In Christ and in 1984 was elevated to the Assistant Pastor of Kings Temple.
