The FBI has released footage of the moment that Oregon militia spokesperson Robert 'Lavoy' Finicum was shot on January 26 on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, during a press conference in Burns, Thursday. The footage shows Finicum’s truck being stopped by the FBI. Federal agents then proceeded to order Finicum to exit the vehicle. The truck then drove off, before reaching a FBI roadblock, here Finicum’s vehicle veered to the left, crashing into a snowbank. Finicum proceeded to leave the vehicle where he was surrounded by agents. He then, according to a FBI spokesperson, reached for his pocket, as he did this agents fatally shot Finicum. The spokesperson said a loaded handgun was found on Finicum’s person. Exit polls suggest the leftist Prime Minister Robert Fico has won Slovakia’s election but is likely to lose his parliamentary majority. If the predictions are correct his party won 27.3 percent of the vote, less than the 35 percent indicated in opinion polls before the election. Fico’s party is stridently anti-immigration and he’s vowed not to accept a single Muslim migrant. It’s now likely he’ll have to seek coalition partners from some of the nine parties that could enter parliament, including the far right. “It’s a big shame for Slovakia. It’s a huge catastrophe that by the time Slovakia takes over the EU presidency in July we’ll have fascists in parliament,” said a member of Fico’s party, Monika Flasikova-Benova. Fico’s social democratic SMER party is known for its populist policies like free train travel for students and pensioners, and his hardline stance on immigration chimes with neighbouring regimes in Poland and Hungary. Vaughn’s manager Matthew Sullivan said the 83-year-old actor died in hospital surrounded by his wife Linda Staab and two children, Cassidy and Caitlin. He had been receiving treatment for acute leukemia, Sullivan said. Cedric Bartee died on Monday afternoon after he was shot by Officer Robert McCarthy. Witnesses said Bartee, who was driving a stolen car, had his ‘hands up.’ Apparently he forgot to say the "DON'T SHOOT part" Better call in the Guard – the “peaceful protesters” may want to loot and pillage. After locating a stolen car at an apartment complex just after midnight on Monday, Sergeant Robert McCarthy fired three shots, one of which hit Cedric Bartee. Demings said Bartee failed to comply with McCarthy’s commands and “made extensive furtive movements,” making the deputy fear for his safety. Bartee underwent surgery and was in stable but critical condition late in the afternoon, the sheriff said. A second man in the car was arrested unhurt.   Less
