Unfortunately this is almost an every day episode here in Bogota , I personally had to take a thief down myself with a stun gun , he got in the bus with a knife and a bottle filled with "supposedly" battery acid and threatened everybody by saying that if we did not give up our belongings he would throw acid on our face , fortunately he tried to rob first some women who were a couple of sits in front of me , he turned his back on me , I wrapped my left arm around his neck and with the right I made a lock while holding the stun gun with it, I held it to his cranium and neck , he didn't pass out and it even shocked me a bit because of the way I was grabbing him, an idiot in the bus finally decided to do something an he pepper sprayed the attacker and me obviously , in that moment I didn't know who had done that and I thought the attacker had released the battery acid , I went crazy on him and hit him until he was almost passed out ,grabbed him and threw out the thrash through the back door. I told the driver to close the doors and to keep on driving, later on we had to get off the bus because the pepper spray made everyone cry and cough , everybody thanked me that day and even applauded me , it felt great to be able to help so many including myself, that night I sleep like a baby . I just wanted to share the story with this community to bring as much consciousness of this problem in in this city , may be some day justice will be tougher with those assholes who will murder you for 5 bucks , there is no death penalty in here,no labor camps , no forced labor , the jails and prisons are overcrowding . This is a beautiful country full of amazing things, if you ever come here just make sure to be careful , there are many advices for visitors in embassies websites , check them them out, it won't hurt.
