This introductory talk will explore understandings of realism and objective knowledge, as argued by science and technology scholars, and ask the difficult questions of what these understandings mean for a complex and dynamic social world; for social construction and social reproduction; and for our subjective construction as understanding, acting, ethical subjects. By drawing on the latest understandings of quantum and non-classical physics, and famous thought experiments of the 20th century, we will try to break apart the dichotomies structure-agency, natural-social, subject-object, human-nonhuman, and explore the consequences of a general realist concept of ‘performativity’. Its the concept that states, that people who listen to ~Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart~'s music (which is classical), tend to be more intelligent, and tend to have a higher IQ and problem solving abilities.nIn short term consideration, listening to Mozart's music temporarily increases the IQ and problem solving abilities of a person who listens to it for a few minutes. But if anyone listens to it often enough (for a long period of time), then displaying intelligence and having high problem solving abilities become habitual.nAlthough this 'effect' is seen pretty much in a large range of classical based musical works, its called specifically 'Mozart' effect because... it was Mozart's music that was first used in the studies that were conducted to test this. (And perhaps people wanted his name to live on, so that could have been the reason too.)nnSince this is an interesting topic, many studies have been done on this. What I want to make a focus of in this little talk of ours, is that studies done with non-classical music (like metal and rock for example), have also shown the 'Mozart effect' taking place.nSo after pondering about this, and trying to connect the proper dots together, I discovered what characteristics, exactly in a music causes the Mozart Effect.nI have informed you (on a general level at-least) about those characteristics in this video. nEvery music, that comes into the category of 'relaxing' music as I have defined in this video... While I've been a long time user of Calphalon cookware, this was my first experience with a product from the Calphalon Classic Non-stick line. nnInitially, I was really excited about this dutch oven because we have a lot of family pasta dinners and it turns out this is exactly the pot I've been needing for those. While you can use it to cook just about anything, I think the design with the measurement labels inside the pot makes it perfect for determining just the right amount of water for pasta.nnThe best part of this set is the lid. Both sides of the lid has strainer style holes that allows you to drain water off pasta through the lid and out the pour spout built into the dutch oven. This has simplified cooking (and cleaning) for me because I no longer have to dirty up a strainer. I can boil, strain and create an entire pasta dish in one pot. If I weren't using it to cook a stove top dish, I could also make a beef stew in the oven because it's oven safe up to 450 degrees F. nnAs I prefer with all of my cookware, the non-stick surface makes it perfect for sticky meals because they slide right out to serve and don't leave a hard to clean mess behind. I don't even bother putting it in the dishwasher, it's so easy to clean that I can handwash, dry and put it away. nnWhile most of my Calphalon cookware isn't from this product line, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other products from the Calphalon Classic Non-stick line because I now know they work just as well as my more expensive pieces. I've come to appreciate the quality of the durable hard-anodized aluminum construction and know this will be part of my kitchen cookware for years to come.nnWhile I received this product for free, the opinions and thoughts included in this review are my own.   Less
