They have meetings once in every three months and, this time, it will happen on August 16, 2014. It will be on University of California, San Diego, campus, in Moore Cancer Center building. This meeting is for everyone, from young people to senior citizens, who are California residents. I am looking forward to seeing all of you here! nn[A clip of road moving as the car is driving to Moore Cancer Center.Car stops at a intersection. A close up of street name: Health Services Drive. Car continues on the road after taking a left turn. The camera turns to a parking lot and Stephanie’s hand says “You can park there.” The car approaches Moore Cancer Center building]nn[Alyssa gets out of a blue SUV]nnAt last, we arrived here, Moore Cancer Center, where the meeting will happen on August 16. It is fairly easy to get here. As you can see, you come from the intersection there. If you plan to use GPS and cannot find this exact building, use the intersection with Regents Road. nn[Stephanie, wearing grey shirt, is standing with trees and pole in the background]nnI will share the schedule of CAD meeting now. In the morning, we will meet at 9AM. There will be no DST (Deaf Standard Time)! Be on time, arrive at 9AM. Of course, we will be hungry by the time morning ends, so lunch will be at noon. The break lasts an hour, which means it ends at 1PM. The meeting will continue from 1PM to 4PM. As the meeting ends at 4PM, you all will be on your own. You can eat dinner and go sightseeing in San Diego! nnBut, wait! Please make sure you will be able to meet with everyone again at 7:30PM! There will be a gathering with a bonfire. You can bring your own food and drinks. The location will be shared later. nn[A close up of Alyssa with rustic orange background]nn9AM to 4PM? Will you sit and watch presentations all day?? No, of course, not! You will have chance to participate in group discussions; share ideas and solutions about different issues such as: deaf advocacy, employment, and education; promoting issues; finances; and special projects. Maybe you already have ideas for projects, but never found time or weren’t sure where to start. This is the right place to share your project! There will be inspiring presentations too. I can’t wait to see what we all have to share at the meeting! nnLooking forward to it! Less
