Panasonic's 20-inch (50.8-centimetre) 4K tablet was shown off Thursday at the IFA electronics trade exhibition. The tablet, which the Japanese company boasts is the world's thinnest, has a 3,840 by 2,560-pixel resolution display. The tablet runs on a Microsoft Windows 8 operating system, with a 1.8GHz Intel i5 3427U vPro processor, Nvidia GeForce graphics, 4GB of memory and a 128GB solid state drive. As a tablet, it also features touch input and a digital stylus pen. Kentaro Saito, Panasonic's Senior coodinator of the marketing office for Asia says that with 4K tablet there is no need for printed paper. "This pocket tablet has a 4K resolution, quality is almost the same as the printed paper. In this case, user doesn't need to print out the paper. And also, this tablet has high resolution pen with optical technology. In this case, user can put one hundreds comment, works like actually pen and paper. In this case, user doesn't have to bother printing paper and scanning paper for sharing comments", Saito said. The IFA electronics fair previews some of the latest and greatest techno-creations by the world's top electronics manufacturers. The 2013 exhibitor list includes Samsung, Canon, Adobe Systems, Sony, Siemens and Panasonic.
