In this report we take a look at the history of the Saudi dynasty and its key pillars. We ask important questions, who will be the third in line once King Abdullah passes away? As the second generation princes, who have ruled the country for most of its 80 year history, are now few in numbers, its likely that a third generation prince will enter the game of thrones. A critical evolution in the House of Saud. This new chance will further divide the ongoing divisions rivalries in the Saudi dynasty. It will also put uncertainty on a key pillar, unity among the leadership. Less

Lionesses at the Copenhagen Zoo were giving looks that could literally kill Thursday as a new male lion has yet to venture outdoors. The lionesses, who do not have names, were seen lounging in their enclosure while the new male, who arrived from the Givskud Zoo Wednesday, was nowhere to be found. Staff are afraid the lionesses may kill the male lion if he tries to interact with them. According to zoo staff, the lionesses have been sitting outside for the past 48 hours. The Copenhagen Zoo made headlines Monday after staff euthanised four lions to make room for a new generation. It is now up to the municipalities to supply funding for food and for medicines and that is not just for Nikolaev, it is for all the schools throughout the country." M/S M/S W/S Zoo W/S Entrance to Nikolaev Zoo With news recently surfacing that the animals in Nikolaev Zoo are close to starvation due to a lack of government funding, campaigners and activists continued their daily struggle to keep the animals alive on Wednesday. Ukrainian resident and entrepreneur, South African Lionel de Lange, is just one campaigner engaged in a rescue mission at Nikolaev Zoo. For assistance, he contacted the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organisation (LAEO), who he is now working with to provide the animals with much needed food and emergency medical supplies. The government began to divert funds away from Nikolaev Zoo in January, which houses 5,735 animals including big cats, bears, monkeys, crocodiles, boa constrictors and elephants. Speaking about the situation, Lange explained how Ukraine's political crisis has led to a halt in government funding for all the country's zoos. The Nikolaev Zoo says it will not have the resources to take care of the animals' food needs until the end of April - when the weather gets warmer and entrance fees start mounting up. Saudi Arabia's king has appointed a new intelligence chief, Youssef al-Idrisi, replacing Prince Bandar Bin Sultan in the key post. Saudi official news agency S-P-A has cited a royal decree saying Bandar was exempted from his position at his own request. The announcement was made as Bandar was returning to the kingdom after around two months of staying in the U-S for surgery on his shoulder. Bandar was the Saudi ambassador to the U-S for 22 years before he was appointed as director general of the Saudi Intelligence Agency in 2012. Bandar is accused of masterminding terrorist acts in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq. He was heavily involved in Saudi efforts to support Al-Qaeda-linked militants in Syria. Less

Over a hundred days have passed since a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet went missing in the Indian Ocean. And now, Malaysia Airlines executives say it may take decades to find the missing jet. Malaysia Airlines commercial director Hugh Dunleavy has said the Boeing 777 is somewhere in the south Indian Ocean, adding he believes something unusual happened to the ill-fated plane. Meanwhile, investigators have concluded that Flight MH-370 was probably not seriously damaged in the air and remained in controlled flight for hours after contact with it was lost. The main evidence for the conclusion lies in a re-examination of the Malaysian military radar data. Flight MH370, which was carrying 239 people, vanished on March 8 while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. International teams have been searching for the plane ever since, but so far not a single piece of debris has been identified. Less

The so called vampire of the insect kingdom. Giant water bugs may not look fierce but it packs a nasty bite with their rostrum. A piercing part of the mouth used to suck out liquified remains. This time it faces off against the King Baboon Tarantula. Growing up to 8-9 inches in length with 1/2 inch fangs, it's considered to be one of the most aggressive spiders in the world. The spider seems to have the upper hand until a most surprising ending unfolds with the giant water bug once again being victorious with a soon to be deceased arachnid. Less

Protesters gathered at roughly 5 p.m. local time (2300 GMT) near the State Building, angered by Mexican Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam Friday saying that he was "tired" of questions. Murillo Karam was heard saying "Ya me canse" which roughly translates to "enough, I'm tired" - at a press conference that was televised live. At the press conference, Murillo Karam also said that the 43 students who went missing in the Mexican city of Iguala were likely abducted by police on the mayor's orders before their bodies were later dumped in a mass grave and set on fire by members of the Guerreros Unidos cartel. A total of 74 people have been arrested in connection to the disappearance of the students, including Iguala Mayor Jose Luis Abarca, his wife Maria de los Angeles Pineda, and several members of the local police force. The case of the students, who went missing on September 26, has triggered large protests throughout Mexico.
