http://www.mqm.org http://www.allaboutmqm.org Founder and Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, has asked Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf (PTI) to stage protest demonstration outside Prime Minister House to mount pressure on Nawaz Sharif to order to shoot down the drones. He was addressing a launching ceremony of 'The Philosophy of Love', written by him, at a hotel here on Saturday. People from different walks of life, including politicians, diplomats, intellectuals, journalists and others attended the ceremony. Former chief Minister Sindh, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Elahi Bux Soomro, Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khoro were also present on the occasion. He said that staging a protest against Nato supplies and blocking the routes has proved to be completely baseless. "Protesting on Nato supply routes is intended only to harass the poor truck drivers, he said. Instead of protesting against Nato supplies, Altaf Hussain said, PTI and JI should register a protest with Security Council of United Nations over drone strikes in Pakistan. Altaf Hussain said that Nato supplies through Pakistani routes could not be stopped. "Pakistan cannot block the Nato supplies because the US is supplying money to the Pakistan government and people will starve if Nato supplies are blocked." He said that the chief of JI, Syed Munawar Hassan should have been prosecuted under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan for declaring slain TTP leader Shaheed. Hussain said that the MQM is the only party which has openly criticised the Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) more than any other progressive parties. He said that the discrimination of caste, colour or creed should be eliminated in order to make Pakistan prosper and stable "We have already lost half of Pakistan because of our discriminative attitude and social injustices," Altaf Hussain said.
