I and many other armchair explorers are finding everything from animals to fossils, bones, skulls and even carved or manufactured objects. They can be found in some of the images beamed down from the Mars Rover Curiosity.nUnfortunately NASA seem to be over compressing most of the images that are free to download from their website but some of the large panoramic TIF files are of good quality and are at 200 DPI. (Dots per inch) These are the ones to go for.nnThe animals in the main are dead and look freeze dried in Gale Crater. Mummified in the extreme cold nights that in go down to about minus 60 but the days are hot. Up to 70 degrees or more. There are very conflicting views about the temperatures on Mars mainly caused by people using averages witch are quite misleading.nAs for the air on Mars we are told that there is only 0.5% oxygen. Personally I think more like 5% in some areas unless the surviving creatures have adapted to breath Co2 or Hydrogen. This may explain why most of the living creatures found so far are small rodents and reptiles. They can survive on very low quality air and can burrow to avoid freezing.nWhy did NASA send Curiosity to Gale Crater and not the melt-zone in the polar north where the trees and plants are? I here you ask. And why are they drilling little holes in rocks when there are dead creatures all over the place? nThe Curiosity is a geological explorer which is not designed to find life and in my opinion is a prelude to commercial mining operations. You can see seems of gold all over the place. nnEven though NASA have mentioned water and possible life on Mars, they maintain that it died out millions of years ago. On the other hand they are taking a DNA lab on the next Rover. DNA can only last about a million years, so they must think otherwise? You have to read between the lines. They are a military organization after all.nnThese large very low altitude areas have there own micro climate and thicker atmosphere witch could explain how some of these organisms have survived.nI am amazed at the number of specimens lying around. It seems that Gale was and may still be one of the few places that has liquid water left. Any surviving creatures from the cataclysm would have congregated there. An oasis.nnSo either there's life on Mars or they are beaming the pictures from some remote desert on Earth via satellite as one of my army of YouTube subscribers thinks.nNASA and the scientific community remain very quiet on this issue. I subsequently gained permission to keep him...as an "exception" to the rules. nnHis official name is Pasha...not Shithead or Tom as I had originally dubbed him. I gave him this noble name as he requires that I worship him for at least 1 hour every evening when I come home before he will allow me to go to sleep. LOLnnHis days are now filled with love, leisure, play, food abundance, air conditioning/heat, and....snorting high grade and concentrated cat nip. :-) He is also developing a bit of a belly so I might need to get him a personal trainer. :-)nnORIGINAL VIDEO DESCRIPTION (11/13/13):nnI have seen this feral cat for a little over a year. He was a small kitten last Winter (2012) and would run out into the road late at night in front of my van. His big head bobbing on his little body as he ran. I would often throw scraps of food out of the window of my van in the general area where he seemed to always jump out on the road.nnHe began to show up around our building last Summer (2013) and I began to leave food for him around our dumpster. He has come closer to me over time and I have always spoken sweetly to him from afar as I placed his food for him. Always trying not to move too fast or directly toward him so as not to frighten him. It has taken a long time to get him to trust me at shorter and shorter distances.nnHe is really beat up and is quite thin so I decided to try and trap him so that I can get him to the vet. I signed out a trap from the Hot Springs (Arkansas) Guardian Angels Cat Rescue on Saturday, 11/8/13, and have been trying to trap him since Monday (11/11/13). nnI finally got him yesterday evening (11/12/13) and it was a good thing because last night was below freezing. He also has a skin condition all over which has thinned his hair giving him minimal insulation against the cold.nnBut I didn't exactly trap him. I think he might have actually trapped me (see the event @ 8:05 minutes in the video. :-) Anyway, we went to the vet today 11/13/13 and got him fixed up (neutered, wormed, vaccinated and treatment for the skin condition).nnPets are not allowed where I live and our company is a food manufacturing plant so we cannot have animals inside (I made an exception last night)..Guardian Angels Cat Rescue is at capacity and the Hot Springs Animal "Shelter" is a KILL "shelter" so they are absolutely not an option.nnI have paid the vet bill and will give this young cat to a loving and healthy home without charge in the Hot Springs, Arkansas, area if I can find someone who wants a wonderful cat. He is absolutely NOT aggressive and has not bitten or intentionally scratched me. This little guy has experienced a hard first year of life and deserves a better shot. Less
