Born in San Francisco, on Oct. 19, 2004, she was 6 years old.nA beautiful and preternaturally delightful child, Neda was a happy, energetic little girl with a playful sparkle in her eye, a mischievous crooked smile and a gentle warmth and tenderness that melted the hearts of everyone with whom she came in contact.nShe was much beloved throughout the community and within the Westerly School system, particularly in the special education department and at the Bradford School, where she was something of a celebrity.nShe is survived by her parents, Mark Sullivan Jr. and Stanislava Sullivan, of Westerly; her big brother/hero, Joseph; her grandparents, Mark and Suzanne Sullivan Sr., of Westerly, and Gancho and Nedka Ganev, of Gabrovo, Bulgaria; her aunts and uncles, Dave and Maura Sullivan of Rocky Hill, Conn., Leeann and Michael Keady of Medfield, Mass., and Hristo and Aneta Ganev of Berlin, Germany; her cousins, MJ, Mary, Mathew, Mack, Kate, Callie and Marie; and a multitude of children, thoughtful families and dedicated caregivers throughout southern New England and all over the world.nNeda's family will host a waking and memorial service in her memory from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, followed by a family-friendly reception, to which Neda's little friends are cordially invited, at St. Clare Community Center, on Crandall Avenue in Misquamicut.nIn lieu of flowers, please donate to the "Neda Fund" at 224 Post Road, #181, Westerly, RI, 02891.nProceeds will be used to help defray the costs of Neda's final arrangements, and to establish a foundation in her name to assist families of children with developmental disorders like those with which Neda struggled so valiantly to the end.
