Two large trucks appear to be racing each other down the motorway when one moves to the center lane leaving the larger truck and trailer, who was following way too close and way too fast, doesn't have time to react when a bus is revealed in front of it by the lead truck changing lanes. The trailer loses it under braking and does its best to bitch slap two vehicles into the barrier. What's even stranger is the little blue truck, which slammed the central barrier and narrowly avoids being crushed by the trailer, carries on down the road like nothing happened ! Was but a scratch. White car was lucky, too. #financial_support_div{ display:none; position: absolute; width:300px; height:180px; margin-left: -150px; margin-top: -70px; /*- half of width and height */ top:50%; left:50%; padding: 5px; opacity:0.9; filter:alpha(opacity=90); z-index:1000; background-color:#000; color: white; } .close_box{ background: gray; color:#fff; padding:1px 3px; display:inline; position:absolute; right:1px; margin-right: -13px; margin-top: -13px; border-radius:3px; cursor:pointer; border: 1px #000 solid; } $(document).on("click",".close_box",function(){ $(this).parent().fadeTo(300,0,function(){ $(this).remove(); }); }); Loading the player ... The local residents of this town are very much afraid that this whale will indeed explode." W/S Beach SCRIPT An 80-tonne dead blue whale washed up on a beach in Trout River, Newfoundland is keeping locals on their toes as gasses trapped inside the whale mean the animal could explode at any moment. As it begins to decompose, the 26-metre long carcass is becoming increasingly bloated with methane gas, creating an unpleasant smell. Meanwhile, residents of the town are trying to work out how to remove the whale before it bursts. The rare and flawless Blue Moon Diamond has sold for $48.4 million to a buyer from Hong Kong, setting a world record for the sale of a gemstone at auction. The 12.03-carat diamond is said to be among the largest known vivid blue diamonds and was the showpiece sale at Wednesday night’s auction at Sotherby’s in Geneva. The blue diamond stone was found in South Africa’s famed Cullinan mine in January 2014. Sotherby’s auction house said in a video that the Cullinan mine was the “only reliable source in the world for blue diamonds,” and only a tiny percentage of those found in it contain even a trace of blue. Blue diamonds are formed when boron is mixed with carbon when the gem is created. Habib Galbi - a hit song performed by Israeli girl band name A-WA - managed to rise to the top of Israel's music charts. The song has also proven a major success in the middle east and abroad, with the music video amassing over 2.2 million hits. A-WA band members are three jewish Israeli sisters of yemeni origin. The song is based on a tune that the three learned from their grandmother, who had left yemen after the state of Israel was established. The American firm Blue Origin has safely launched and landed its New Shephard rocket for the fourth time, describing the mission test as ‘impeccable’. The spaceflight company founded by Amazon boss Jeff Bezos carried out the operation from Texas, sending the rocket to an altitude of 100 kilometres. The operation is said to have brought reusable rockets one step closer, which would dramatically reduce the costs of space flight. Fourth flight. Same hardware. Reusable rockets love to fly. #RocketsReused #GradatimFerociter pic.twitter.com/CaRQTI3dOI— Blue Origin (@blueorigin) June 19, 2016 It will do no harm either to Blue Origin’s goal of being the first private company to send tourists into space. Built-in to the latest mission test was a deliberate hitch – the firm purposely failed to deploy one of the capsule’s main parachutes to see if it could make it back in one piece. The answer was yes. Bezos has previously cited the Apollo 15 mission in 1971 when one parachute failed, to justify testing what’s thought to be an unlikely scenario. Within 11 minutes of the launch, New Shephard’s rocket and crew capsule had soft-landed back to Earth. It came down to the final 50 metres, but Australia’s Mack Horton made a splash when he clinched the men’s 400 metres freestyle, beating the 2012 Olympic champion in the process. Horton finished in three minutes 41.55 seconds, a hair’s breadth ahead of China’s Sun Yang (3:41.68). Gabriele Detti of Italy came in third, almost two seconds behind the winner (3:43.49). Great Britain was in for a disappointment. James Guy was leading for more than half of the race, but couldn’t quite keep up the pace. He came in in sixth place. Horton will also complete in the men’s 1,500 metres freestyle and the 4×200 metre freestyle relay. Less
