Wonderful London in 1924 and 2014nnIn 1924, Harry B. Parkinson and Frank Miller documented London in a fantastic series of short films, known as "Wonderful London". Over the last few months, I have stood in their foot-steps, recapturing their shots exactly, and have blended the two together creating a window through time. nnThe music used is Symphony No. 4 by Gustav MahlernThe recording is credited to Steve JonesnLicensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0nThe composition is now in the public domain, and more information can be found on this great website … http://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.4_(Mahler,_Gustav)nnWonderful London is available on DVD from the BFI here … http://www.bfi.org.uk/blu-rays-dvds/wonderful-londonnnMaking this short follows my previous film “London in 1927 and 2013” tracing the footsteps of Claude Friese-Greene. A documentary about Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus - two movie-obsessed cousins whose passion for cinema changed the way movies were made and marketed - and the tale of how this passion ultimately led to the demise of the company they built together.nnElectric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films is not just a hilarious tale of scattergun movie making, but of two cousins whose passion for cinema changed the way movies were made and marketed, and how ultimately this passion would come between them and the company they built together. This is a one-of-a-kind story about two-of-a-kind men who (for better or worse) changed film forever. Less

In 2014, Claire Denis and Olafur Eliasson connected for the first time to explore their fascination for phenomena not yet explained by science, like black holes, and discovered along the way a shared confidence in abstraction. From their dialogues emerged a three-minute film contemplating Eliasson's artwork Contact and the feeling of infinity that its intense yellow light inspires. nPhotographed by Agnes Godard and Yorick Le Saux.nOriginal music by: Stuart Staples.nThe Apocalypse Fils, Alcatraz Films and Studio Olafur Eliasson. Full download (mp3 / FLAC) and details: http://bratproductions.com/mixes/mashups/cure_commodores.htmlnnThis is a generic video for a mashup done by Daniel Barassi / BRAT Productions/ www.bratproductions.com / @bratmixnnIf I ever come up with an actual idea for this mashup, then I will upload something better. This generic video is simply to provide people with a streaming video media solution to spread the word about the mix, rather than relying on someone else to upload a sub-par video.nnAgain - go download the mix from my site! It sounds much better in FLAC / Lossless! Less

Me and this girl are very different...nnYet...nnMe and this girl are very much the same.nnI wrote this story about "Lolita" in 2008 and, at the time, felt little connection to her. But, in the past year as my career and personal life have changed in (scary and exciting) ways I never could have predicted - I started to understand her. I found myself re-writing this piece, for exercise and therapy.nnBefore this last year or so, I've always been able to retreat and resurface. Attention—and more importantly people's perception of me—was something that I could control. Or at least try to. But social media and the internet has changed that (also being on Showtime docu-series and a 5 part National Toshiba commercial has also changed that).nn2015 is a time of "likes" and "followers" and "direct messages" and constant connection with strangers. But I wonder a lot: what do people really know about me? Or each other for that matter? And how far is that from reality? "Lolita" seems to have it all. Dom Perignon and opulence. Attention and adornment. But, as I've learned this past year, "seems" can't really be trusted.nnThanks to Drake and to my friends for helping me make this.nnWritten by Va$htienDirected by Va$htienCo-Directed by Guy BlellochnDP: Henry ZaballosnAC: Remington LongnGrip: Kelvin LeennStyled by Rose GarcianHair: Angela SotonMakeup: Mimi Kamara nnCreative team: nElle ClaynMieko JonesnnCast:nJohnny Stevens of Highly SuspectnA$AP BarinLuka SabbatnJarlosnGabijanSabrina Passuntino Less
