On Thursday, May 07, 2015 at approximately 4:35 p.m., the listed subjects approached the jewelry store located at 3105 NW 79 Street. The subjects jumped over the counter, pushed the victims to the ground and proceeded to remove jewelry from the display cases. The subjects then fled the scene with approximately $250,000 in jewelry. A witness stated that the subjects entered listed vehicles, while a black male was waiting with a high powered rifle. The subjects then fled northbound on NW 30 Avenue. On Thursday, March 26, 2015, at approximately 5:45 p.m., four unknown black male subjects approached the jewelry store located at 1205 NE 163 Street. The subjects jumped over the counter breaking the display cases and removed over $250,000 of jewelry and fled the area in an unknown direction. On Saturday, March 07, 2015, at approximately 4:25 p.m., four unknown black male subjects approached the jewelry store located at 7900 NW 27 Avenue. The subjects approached the jewelry store booth at the flea market, two of the subjects jumped over the counter, while one of the subjects tackled the victim to the ground causing facial injuries, as the fourth subject acted as a look out for the group. The subjects then fled from the area with approximately $90,000-$100,000 in jewelry. They are then sent an exact 3D-printed wax replica before the piece of jewellery goes into production. “I couldn’t possibly make a choice and sign a cheque simply from looking at a picture on the internet,” says client Carine Pichon. “What if I buy something and it is not the size I want – what if it’s too big or too small? So I think that having something that is not the final product, but is close to it when it comes to size and shape, is important to reassure clients they’re making the right choice.” The company says business is doing well. Three quarters of their clients come from abroad, mainly from China, Central Asia, Russia and the Middle East. A highlight of the night will unquestionably be Virupaksha Temple. The temple is the soul of the Vijayanagara Empire, better known as Hampi. The Empire prospered between the 14th and 16th centuries. In 1986 it received UNESCO World Heritage status, and its popularity with tourists has soared. Over half a million people visit Hampi every year. The temple structures are not only popular with Indians. Foreign tourists are also making the journey to the heritage site. “When we first came here, we arrived at 5am in the morning, we went up to Mantunga Hill, and we saw the overview of Hampi and it was really amazing. We took a lot of photos. We sent to our friends and they were like, “Wow, where are you?” It looked really great,” says Samy Vivian, from Germany. Known as Asia’s largest open-air museum, Hampi covers an area of 36 square kilometers. It was the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. The Empire was besieged by the Deccan Muslim confederacy in 1565, then pillaged for six months before being abandoned. Lost until the mid- 19th century, Hampi was rediscovered by local and international visitors. “My grandfather came here 80 years ago. He settled down here. It was not a tourism place, simply a pilgrimage place. So many people would come to worship, not just to see things. It almost got to fighting but the police protected the marocs against the enraged citizens. In the end the marocans left still yelling they will continue protesting and it is also know now that one of the marocans threatened the wife that he will see her someday and she will pay, on his facebook he made several statements like that. Stamford, CT - Stamford police are searching for the man who allegedly stole a $27,000 Rolex watch from a jewelry store at the mall Saturday, pepper-spraying an employee and security guard on his way out the door, according to police. Surveillance video at Sidney Thomas Jewelry shows a man sitting in a wheelchair approach a glass case and ask a jeweler for help around 2 p.m Saturday. She shows him a couple different watches, which she hands over for him to try on. After examining two watches and settling on a third, the man abruptly pushes back his wheelchair, knocking into another employee, then stands and bolts to the door, surveillance video shows. "Before he runs, he sprays one of the clerks in the face with pepper spray, and as the security guard from outside comes in, he sprays him, knocking him to the ground," Stamford police spokesman Lt. Diedrich Hohn explained. He said the employee and security guards were taken to the hospital and were later released in good condition. Hohn said the first two watches were more expensive than the one stolen, valued at around $85,000 apiece. It's not clear why the suspect chose the one he did. Surveillance footage shows the suspect to be a black man wearing a blue suit over a black T-shirt with a white design on the front. He’s sporting a black fedora-type hat and appears to be wearing glasses. He left the hat and wheelchair at the scene. Hohn said investigators collected fingerprints from the wheelchair and are sending the hat for DNA testing. Hohn said the employees were caught off guard. "It's pretty sad that someone has got to go to that length to try and steal a watch. He could have walked in and probably accomplished the exact same thing, but instead, he used a wheelchair." Police said the suspect ran out of the mall and into the garage area, where investigators believe he got into a car and drove off, possibly with an accomplice. Running from October 4-19, the show is expected to attract more than 1.2 milllion visitors. The new MINI hatchback – named the MINI 5 door – boasts many of the hallmarks of the famed British icon but with two additional doors. It is the first time in the brand’s 55-year history that it’s boasted a 5-door model in its hatchback range. Jim Holder, Editor of What Car? Magazine thinks not all mini fans will be happy with this model: “The new five-door MINI is certainly controversial simply because it’s no longer a small car and many enthusiasts believe MINI should be a small car. But what it’s doing is taking the brand into new territory, it’s opening up new markets with growing families and it really should help sell more cars for them.” The Citroen Divine DS has no familiar Citroen logo on the front, just a futuristic-looking ‘DS’. It is the result of collaboration with a host of companies, including fashion jewellers Swarovski and French embroidery house Maison Lesage. Citroen says the end product is a perfect alliance between sophistication and luxury. “I think DS is trying to take on the established idea of premium (=luxury car) which has been set by the German brands. “It’s trying to do it in a particularly French way, so you’re looking at extremely over-styled, perhaps a slightly more luxurious take on what we’ve become used to and I think any variety is good for the industry,” said Holder. Whether we actually see something like that on sale, very doubtful, but it’s a good intention to show where Peugeot is going in terms of its brand,” Fowler said. At launch in 2015, the seven-seater Land Rover Discovery Sport ‘/a> will be equipped with a range of four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The killing of 39 people at a beach hotel in Tunisia could spell disaster for the country’s already struggling economy. Tunisia’s tourism minister has described the attack in Sousse, claimed by the self-proclaimed Islamic State group, as a “catastrophe.” Authorities have vowed to tighten security, but that may not be enough to bring back the crowds of foreign holidaymakers anytime soon. “The tourism sector in Tunisia has been killed, it’s dead now. Our economy is very bad, how we are going to live?” asked one Tunisian in Sousse. “We depend on the tourists, there are around four thousand people from Sousse working in this sector.” Tunisia’s tourism industry was already reeling from the Bardo museum massacre in Tunis, which happened earlier this year. Gunmen killed 21 foreign visitors. Euronews reporter Mohammed Shaikhibrahim, who is in Sousse, said: “This area is known as a jewel of the Tunisian coast. It’s a favourite with tourists. But now the visitors have gone. All that is left here are traces of blood, left by the attack.”   Less
