Light Kinetics is the last interactive installation of Espadaysantacruz a, Madrid based, creative studio.nnIn this piece, light is controlled by a physics simulator creating a astonishing effect. nA piezo electric sensor situated in the first bulb captures the force of the tap, generating a light particle that moves along the loop. All the shades of the energy are reflected in the trajectory of the light.nThe system is powered by Unity 3D that simulates de forces that apply to the virtual corpuscle.nnThis project is a follow up of the previous experiment: https://vimeo.com/90523113nnwww.espadaysantacruz.comnMarch, 2015nnThis project was presented at the interactive night at @IED Madrid design school http://www.ied.es/madrid/escuela-designnnwith the team: Alejandro López Bravo, Lucas Ortíz, Sara Kieninger and Fernando Urquijo Less

On Sunday, September 18th, Mama Earth presents Common Culture: Across the Water at Ford Theatres in Hollywood. nWe celebrate intersections of island culture, our elders and the ancestors.nDetails and information at www.commoncultureshow.com.nnThis video features "El Maestro" Lazaro Galarraga who has dedicated his life to the love of Afro-Cuban music, culture and folklore. That love has transformed him into a teacher, performing artist, actor, writer, choreographer and mentor. nMaestro provides stimulating lectures at museums, educational institutes and universities on Afro-Cuban music and culture to the Southern Californian community. El Maestro received his Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Music Theory, History of Art and in Cuban Folklore from the Escuela Nacional de Arte for his vision and influence on Afro-Cuban music.nnIn a tragic turn of events, Lazaro's 17 year old son, Ismael Lazaro Galarraga-Brown was murdered in Inglewood in June, 2015; a good kid in the wrong place at the wrong time. We feel so humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to honor a great man and his son.nnProduced, Directed and Edited by Dustin Warren of MATTERnwww.thematterworks.comnnCreative Direction by Andrea Miller of Mama Earthnwww.4mamaearth.org Less
