Our heat pump cover will help with that! made of high impact, shatter resistant, UV protected polyethylene it's designed to provide the maximum protection for your heat pump in any weather conditions. The cover protects the condenser coil on all sides from direct contact with freezing rain, snow, roof runoff and hail as well as protects against falling ice that can dent the top and fold over the coil fins. The cover directs intake air from the bottom, side and threw louvers cut into the back panel to allow air to pass threw the coil precipitation free keeping the coil clear and extracting the maximum amount of heat from the air. While helping keep your heat pump free of ice and snow it also reduces defrost cycles and duration by holding heat inside the pump body while in defrost, this allows a for a full and complete defrosting of the coil for maximum heat exchange. The cover is easily assembled in about 5 minutes using only a Phillips screw driver and installs on the pump in less than 1 minute. It is attached to the heat pump only ( not your house) using 2 cam buckle straps that wrap around the body and pull to a tight fit with little effort.
