"Knock Knock!" "Who's there?" ROCKSY THE RACCOON!!!! This silly raccoon has figured out that after she has raided the cat food bowl and it is empty... that she will just knock on the door... FOR HOURS.... until I refill it! It is hysterical! She is adorable and has lived in my yard for years... not sure how she figured out how to knock... but it certainly works! Magnífica explicación sobre la causa de la especulación alimentaria, el aumento de los precios de los alimentos y como consecuencia, el aumento del hambre en el mundo.nProduced by WEED (www.weed-oline.org)nFood speculation mainly takes place at commodity derivatives exchanges, which are especially large in the US but also growing in the EU. Even though these exchange can have a value for agriculture, they can also be dangerous. Especially through increasing participation of finanical speculators like banks and funds, food prices more and more become a financial asset and an object of profit maximization. This can cause price distortions and increases - and thus hunger for millions. More information can be found in the article The speculator's bread. Also many scientists, analysts and public institutions have come to the conclusion that speculation can negatively influcence commodity prices (see list). Less

"In a democracy, corporations should not write the laws". Around the world, citizens are protesting the control of corporations over decision making on food and agriculture, such as in the negotiations on the EU-US free trade agreement (TTIP). At the same time, many successful initiatives emerge where people take food systems back into their own hands. The “Blow dough” project manufactured dough balloon, using industrial blower, with highest temperature of 600 Celsius, which made the seasoned dough baked during blowing it into the shape of an inflated balloon.nIn the manufacturing process, local herbs were added to the blowing act and their exceptional senses were assimilated to the dough. Thus, the entire eating experience was enriched. The project illustrates the food manufacturing process in a small-scale factory that was established for one day as an analogy to the street food carts and to the urban eating experience in Jerusalem. Three films reveal insights into the glaring contrast between home-prepared foods versus foods primed by a food stylist. nnThrough the use of food dyes, cotton-ball stuffing, imitation ice, and an array of other clever devices, these films explore the many trickeries we are ever presented with by commercial industries in our everyday lives. nnIt’s real food, but not really.nn-nDirected, Filmed & Edited by Minhky LenCamera: Panasonic GH4 in 1080p 96fps, 60fps & 4K (compressed to a 1080p timeline).nSettings: James Miller's settings - Cinelike V, -5 sharpness, -5 saturation, -5 noise reduction.nGlass: Voigtlander 25mm f0.95nEdited and Graded: Premiere CC, FilmConvert.nSound: Foley was handled by borrowing sounds from all over the internet, and through VideoCopilot's sound packs and sampling originals. nnDetails: The overall setup was extremely small. Blue cardboard on IKEA table tops taped on in quite honestly the most primordial way. I used soda water because of the amazing fizz it produces, which normally stays for about 1-2 hours - great for photo and video work. I love being able to punch in to the bubbles as it was shot almost entirely in 4k resolution as it was edited on a 1080p timeline. nnI had taken a two-day Food Styling course by world renowned food stylist Denise Vivaldo who had offered me personal tips of food styling and chasing life goals.nn© 2014 Minhky Le Less

Pink cardboard on IKEA table tops with a glass sheet placed on the surface for ease of resetting shots. I love pushing the limits of sound foley - juxtaposing, say, crackling gravel like sounds on the scooping action of the soft, melting surface of ice cream. Funny how it our mind can make it work out.
