He is 2.25 meters tall, meaning he comfortably dominates his opponents. Tacko wears size 22 shoes-- the same as NBA basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal. "All of a sudden, I heard what sounded like a man's voice but I was asleep so I wasn't sure," Heather said. Disoriented and confused, Heather picked up her cell phone to check the camera in her 10-month-old daughter Emma's room. The camera was moving, but she wasn't moving it. "About the time I saw it moving, I also heard a voice again start screaming at my daughter. He was screaming, ‘Wake up baby. Wake up baby.' Then just screaming at her trying to wake her up." That's when Heather's husband, Adam, ran into Emma's room. Adam said the camera then turned from his petrified daughter to point directly at him. "Then it screamed at me," Adam said. "Some bad things, some obscenities. So I unplugged the camera." But the Schrecks were only beginning to plug into the truth of what had just happened. "Someone had hacked in from outside," Heather said. So how many other times had someone hacked into their camera and watched their baby through their Foscam IP Camera. "You do kind of feel violated in a way," Adam said. According to tech experts, wireless IP cameras like the one the Schreks have are an easy way for hackers to open a cyber door directly into your home. "Any kind of Internet-connected device essentially could be subjected to this," said Dave Hatter, a solutions expert for Infinity Partners. And experts say once they get inside the camera in your home, hackers may also be able to get inside your lives. "It's not just that they want to get in and mess with your camera. More sophisticated hackers know they can use this as a launching off point to get into your network and potentially steal your ID or use your network to launch malicious attacks against someone else," Hatter said. Hatter's advice is to change the password on your Wi-Fi as well as the camera itself, and make them different. Also, check the manufacturer's website regularly for updates you can download since the available updates may not show up directly on the device, as they do on your computer or cell phone. The Foscam camera, for example, has a known firmware vulnerability and had released an update to correct the problem but the Schreck's were unaware of it. These are some of the simple security steps the Schreck family will now be taking after an intruder walked into their home through their security camera. A Fayetteville teen was arrested Thursday and accused of spiking her grandmother's Easter dinner with insecticide, according to an arrest warrant. Tyt'ana Lisa-Nicole Johnson, 17, of 206 Harrison St., was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. She was being held Friday in the Cumberland County jail under a $500,000 bond.According to a warrant, Johnson tried to kill Gaylon Moody on Sunday by pouring insecticide and termite killer into a pot of collard greens cooking on the stove, knowing that Moody planned to eat them. Moody said it was payback after she confiscated her granddaughter's cellphone for a week. "I just couldn’t understand it," Moody said Friday. "Over a cellphone, you want to kill somebody?" She said she cooked her collard greens and the rest of dinner before heading off to church for Easter services. Later, she and friend Clifton Evans sat down to eat."About an hour and a half later, we started getting sick," she said. "My fingers started feeling numb, (and it spread to) my chest, my face, my mouth."They tried to drive to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center but weren't able to. "We were staggering like we were intoxicated, but neither one of us drank," she said. "You couldn’t smell it. You couldn’t taste it," Evans said. "We couldn’t even stand up we were so weak." A friend of Moody's who overheard Johnson making suspicious comments about sickening her grandmother rushed over and drove Moody and Evans to the hospital, where they were treated and spent the night.On Wednesday, Moody said, she found an empty pesticide bottle in a cabinet at home, and she and Evans confronted her granddaughter, who confessed to the poisoning. "She said, 'Mr. Evans, I didn’t mean to make you sick. I was trying to get back at grandma,'" Evans said. "They got her locked up, but she needs help. Seriously, something's wrong with her. People don’t do that over cellphones."Moody and Evans were able to laugh at the episode on Friday, noting that Evans enjoyed the collards so much he grabbed a second helping."That was good. I was loving it," he said. "Even with the stuff on it." Johnson, a junior and an honor roll student at Terry Sanford High School, was ordered to stay away from Moody and Evens if she posts bond. Spikes were used to bring the vehicle to a halt. The suspect has tried to make a run for it, but ending up jogging as a police officer (who looks like he has also run out of energy) jogs after him at what appears to be a leisurely pace. Eventually, police catch up to him and video from the police chopper shows the suspect reaching for the police officer's gun, not once, but twice (2:15). Although sprayed with pepper/capsicum spray, the suspect has fled into the bush, but the police helicopter never lost sight of him, directing officers to his location for a quick arrest. It is believed the vehicle had been stolen and also carrying a stolen motorbike and other equipment in the tray. Ana Maria Moreta Folch, 62, managed to get hold of a key to the mobile home next door and convinced a heavy-equipment company that it was her property, said Cmdr. Chuck Mulligan of the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, according to nydailynews.com. Then she allegedly asked the operator of the bulldozer to raze the home in St. Augustine, which he did. The victim, who owned the property since 2006, called police when she came home to find her home in rubble and said she never gave the suspect a key, according to an arrest report. When confronted by police, Folch admitted that she did not own the property but felt she did the neighborhood a favor by getting rid of it, police said, claiming the owner rented it to "sketchy people." The woman was arrested and charged with criminal mischief. The property damage was estimated at $25,000, the website's report said. They then marched through the roads of Tran Phu, Dien Bien Phu, Hang Bong to the Hoan Kiem Lake, Trang Tien Road and stopped at the August Revolution Square in front of the Hanoi Opera House. Protesters carried large band rolls reading “We love Vietnam,” “China, withdraw its oil rig from Vietnam’s territorial waters,” "Sovereignty is sacred and inviolable" , "China must adhere to international law," "Silence is coward"... Not only intellectuals, artists, elderly and young people, but children took part in the peaceful demonstration. In HCM City, protesters grouped up in front of the HCM City Theatre and Dong Khoi Road on May 11. They travelled past the city’s major roads and streets such as Le Loi, Pham Ngoc Thach, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, and Nguyen Du. Protesters said they would march in peace, hoping to rally the entire nation in protest against China’s violation of Vietnam’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pham Duc Loc, a local resident from Go Vap district, said China’s provocation has caused outrage among the Vietnamese people. “Through the peaceful march, we would like the world and especially China to understand that we love peace and our Vietnamese nation, and we are determined to protect it,” he said. Noting the historic import of the visit and the accompanying rise in tourism it will engender, the Tourism Ministry announced that it has invested approximately NIS 10 million in marketing initiatives and infrastructure projects. Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat noted the far-reaching importance of the pope’s visit to the capital this coming Sunday. “This visit is of historic importance and paramount significance to Jerusalem, and as we complete the preparation of the city for the visit we will reveal the capital of Israel as a modern city that is open to all the world,” he said. To that end, the ministry announced it has spent NIS 10 million on an international marketing campaign targeting the US, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Poland, France and Germany to attract the world’s Christian populations. According to Tourism Minister Uzi Landau, the marketing campaign will include live streaming of the visit on the web and various social media platforms to reach out to the world’s 1.2 billion Christians. “We welcome the pope as a visitor of the highest importance, the most important religious leader of Catholics around the world,” Landau said Wednesday. “We are greatly honored by his choice to visit Israel and will continue to welcome the faithful with open arms, as they choose to visit Israel in the footsteps of the pope.” Part of the marketing promotion includes an online international competition in six languages sponsored by the ministry, in which participants have been asked to upload a 15-second video explaining why they want to visit the Holy Land. The contestants were also asked to request that their friends “like” their respective videos. Since the website was launched in April, it has garnered over 34 million views around the world, the ministry said. The winner of the competition, a 22-year-old Venezuelan named Adolfo Franco Picaza, will be flown to Israel as a guest of the ministry. The ministry, which invests in the maintenance and conservation of Christian sites on an ongoing basis, has said it has also invested tens of millions of shekels in recent years to development and maintain the infrastructure of Christian sites. They want to know just what form US support will take in the current political climate. His policies are defined by being not what his predecessors were and that he made very clear in his West Point speech. Last week, Iraq’s Ministry of Defense reported the death of Adnan Ismail al-Bailawi during a battle in the al-Mazareh area, east of Mosul. Seven insurgents were also killed along with Bailawi. Meanwhile, clashes between government troops and the ISIL militants continue in northern villages of Tikrit in Salahuddin province. The city fell to the ISIL on Wednesday. The Iraqi army is now heading north to the Nineveh province to purge Mosul from the militants. Also, Kurdish Peshmerga forces say they are in control of the northern city of Kirkuk. They took southern parts of the city from ISIL militants on Wednesday. Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari says ISIL militants who've attacked the country’s provinces of Nineveh and Salahuddin are now on the run. Iraqi forces have reportedly managed to eliminate scores of Takfiri terrorists from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant near the northern city of Mosul. Over 90 militants were killed during their repeated attempts to take control of the Baiji refinery. Military sources say the key oil facility is under control of the army's anti-terrorist units, backed by volunteer forces. Meanwhile, Army Spokesman General Qassim Atta has confirmed the killing of three senior ISIL commanders during the army operations in Baiji. Iraqi officials also deny media reports that the terrorists have captured the country's second largest dam in the western city of Haditha. But the terrorists have reportedly taken control of three regions on the city's outskirts in the absence of security forces.   Less

Credit to Brian Miner This driver has just sounded his horn at an Illinois State Police officer who was speeding past him while using a cell phone. The officer pulls him over for "illegally" using his horn, dodges the question of whether or not he (the officer) was speeding, claims that he allowed to use "technology" because police are "exempt", and threatens to give the driver a ticket. As the officer returns to his vehicle to conduct checks, he is told that he has been recorded on dashcam. Perhaps unsurprisingly, when the officer returns, his attitude has completely changed. No ticket for the horn because - he says - he doesn't want to hurt the driver's record, and instead a clean inspection report which will "look good for your company".   Less
