October 4, 2016 Hawaii 'Cloud Cam' nnMany Nights there are Flashes in the sky over the Pacific Ocean but there were more flashes on this night than I have ever seen.nnFor this video I have started with the overnight time lapse slowed by .5x speed nThen followed it by slowing down just the flashes by .25x slow Motion.nEach Slow-Motion Flash is followed by a 3 second still frame of that flash.nI edited out the time between the flashes. nnI still don't know what these brilliant flashes are, but I think they are man made.nnSee my other videos for more nights that had flashing lights over the Pacific Ocean.nThe light flashes are not seen every night, but there are many other nights that do have the mysterious flashing lights.nnnAbout This Camera: nThe Cloud Camera is an experimental high sensitivity camera mounted to the catwalk of CFHT. nIt takes a picture every 30 seconds and compiles time-lapse movies from those pictures.nThe purpose of the camera is to take pictures of clouds, and other weather, at night - even on a moonless night. It only operates from sunset to sunrise.nBecause of it's sensitivity, even very faint things in the sky can appear very bright. The planets appear brighter than we are used to seeing them.nThe moon can look a lot like the sun until you get used to watching it. You are highly unlikely to ever see the sun, because they have to turn it off at sunrise. nThe way to know if you are seeing the Moon or the Sun is when the moon is the bright object you will still see the stars. When the Sun rises the stars disappear. nThe Camera is located very high on a volcanic mountain above the clouds. It is at an altitude of 4,204 meters.nnThis camera is facing East pointing toward the West Coast of the USA. You can see the city of Hilo in the lower right area of the screenn and you will see the lights of the city. It just shows MGTOW has some real traction in our society and women are starting to get desperate. What they don't realize is red-pill men will never marry and won't be coming back to the plantation any time soon. They call it the “Jacuzzi of Despair” and it’s not another teen horror movie … unless you’re a teenage fish trying to swim through it. Marine scientists have discovered a hot, toxic undersea pool on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico that kills every living thing attempting to cross it.nWhile researching corals in the Gulf using a remotely-controlled underwater robot, Temple College biology professor Erik Cordes found the mysterious lake-in-a-gulf in 2014. He returned in 2015 with a three-man sub for a better look.What he saw belongs in an underwater monster flick.According to his report in the journal Oceanography, the lake was 3,300 feet below the surface, 100 feet in circumference and 12 feet deep. The bed of this rare undersea pool was covered with dead deep-sea crabs. Measurements showed the temperature in the lake at 65 degrees Fahrenheit – balmy compared to the water around it which was 39 degrees.What killed the crabs was not the heat but the salinity. Cordes says the briny water was 4-to-5 times saltier than normal Gulf seawater, making it dense enough to sink to the bottom. There, it mixed with salt formations, hydrogen sulfide and oily deposits on the Gulf floor, forming a toxic goo that gets cooked by methane leaking from bed. The end result is a toxic oxygen-starved lake that kills crabs and other bottom feeders who accidentally step into the “Jacuzzi of Despair.”What doesn’t get killed adapts, says Cordes. The sub crew found giant mussels with a symbiotic bacteria living in their gills that fed off the hydrogen sulfide, along with shrimp and tube worms that have also changed to live in the hostile environment.nWhile deep-sea hydrothermal vents are common, this is one of only a handful of brine pools caused by methane seepage and the first with so-called “extremophiles” living around it. That makes it a great place to help space scientists prepare for what they might find on other planets and moons with similar conditions.nAnd “Jacuzzi of Despair” would definitely be a great movie title.
