Available as either a coupe or a spyder, the 650S is undoubtedly inspired by the P1 as it gets the same McLaren logo shaped LED lights and carbon fibre front splitter as its bigger brother, plus new air blades on the bottom of the gull-wing doors that funnel air into the side vents.nnMcLaren also fits the 650S with forged alloy wheels - 19-inches at the front, 20-inches at the back - that are fitted with even grippier Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres as standard. Factor in the enormous yellow coloured carbon ceramic brakes, and the 650S certainly looks the business. nnThe 650S can also be specced with a carbon fibre rear-bumper which is influenced by the one found on McLaren's GT3 racing car. nnGiven McLaren's illustrious history in motorsport, the performance of the 650S is astonishing. It has 627bhp and reaches 0-62mph in just three seconds. Its top speed is 207mph and it takes just 5.7 seconds to reach 100mph - just 0.7 seconds slower than the P1 which packs 727bhp. nnDespite being excellent on the track as expected, the McLaren 650S is surprisingly refined for a car of this type. The dampers fitted are similar to the ones fitted to the P1 and are the result of a year's development by McLaren.nnWhile the cockpit is similar to the outgoing McLaren 12C, the 650S is much more comfortable and every car comes with an Alcantara steering wheel, plus more Alcantara on the dashboard and roof lining. However, leather trim is an option, as are the completely carbon fibre seats which save about 15kg. nnDespite being comfortable and refined, the McLaren 650S doesn't let you forget its an incredibly quick car. As soon as the turbo kicks in, above 3,500 rpm you just disappear up the road and happily, it retains the almighty acceleration of the 12C. nnIn short, the McLaren 650S is better in every way than the 12C. Living in Oslo (250-500 km away from the scenery portrayed in this film), I had to make 11 trips over a period of 15 months to fullfill this project. I had to visit and revisit locations which were not easily reached considering the the heavy photo gear I was carrying. nnWhen I look back on this project, the most exhausting and dramatic challenge was to climb Galdhøpiggen 2469m/8100ft (5:10-6:08). I had to visit this mountain twice while I was shooting this movie, as my first attempt back in july 2010 was ruined by strong winds. In 2011, a second attempt was made, and this time I got lucky. As I witnessed a beautiful sunset on the roof of Norway and Northern Europe, I knew I was pushing the boundaries and it would be a race against darkness and dropping temperatures to the valley 1400 meters/4600 ft below. My concern was right. At this alltitude, the temperature drops rapidly when the sun sets, and the snow fields in the rather steep terrain just below the summit (which were safe during the daylight) had now turned into treacherous ice. Although I was aware that the temperature had plummeted, I didn´t know that the snow fields had turned into ice so rapidly. As a result of my carelessness and stupidity, I fell uncontrolled down the steep slope and got some deep cuts in my left hand. After all, I had lucky escape- as I stopped before I was severly hit by the rocks in the end of the slope.nnAs the darkness fell, I ran into another problem.Even with a powerful headlamp, I couldn't find the cairns which would lead me down to the valley. After a while I was way out of track and heading straight into steep terrain, so I had no other option than to abort the descent and spend the night in this high alpine area. Nedless to say, the night was very cold, and I had to endure frostbite for many hours. A man seen running down the street with a small boy in his arms, his older sister and brother following right behind trying to rescue him. ABC's Brandi Hitt joins us now with that story. nThis is every parent's worst fear. Luckily that toddler is safe thanks to his brother and sister but authorizes say it is a race right now to find the suspect they worry may strike again. This morning, a manhunt under way for the suspect in this heart-stopping video, an attempted kidnapping in progress. Watch again. The surveillance footage from a grocery store in this small town of Sprague, Washington, capturing the suspect running off with 22-month-old Owen Wright in his arms. Just seconds later you see the toddler's older sister chasing after him followed close behind by his brother pushing an empty stroller. I can't explain the feeling of anxiety and everything that goes into finding out that, you know, your child is missing. Reporter: Owen's father says his three children were with a baby-sitter Sunday who let them play at a park unsupervised. That's when cops say the man scooped little Owen off out of his stroller and took off. His sister screaming as she gave chase alerting passers-by including two teenage boys who joined the pursuit. I didn't really care. There was a kid's life in danger. I don't consider myself a hero. I just consider myself the person doing the right thing. Reporter: A suspect abandoning the toddler in an empty lot before fleeing. I told that little gir, I said, honey, you did exactly what you needed to do, scream your head off. Reporter: While the mystery kidnapper got away for now the sheriff's office still on the chase. Little Owen now back home safe with his family this morning after a terrifying ordeal that could have been much worse if not for his quick-thinking brother and sister. That was what saved that baby was her screaming and us running. Reporter: Very true. Sprague is a very small town, less tan 500 people and authorities say there's no indication the suspect knew the children or their parents. They believe he may have had a car parked nearby and then used that to get away.nCaught on Camera: Man takes off with toddler, sister helps save himnSPRAGUE, Wash. -- n Deputies are hoping surveillance camera footage will help them catch a man who attempted to kidnap at 22-month-old child from a park.nnThe father, Michael Wright, tells KXLY-TV he was at work Sunday when it happened. He says he left little Owen and his two siblings with their babysitter on Sunday. The three children were playing alone at a park when the suspect ripped Michaels son out of the stroller and took off down the street. nn"I can't explain the feeling, the anxiety and everything that goes into finding out your child is missing or something has happened to them," Wright said.nnFortunately, witnesses say his brother and sister chased down the suspect. They say the sister's screams hampered the suspect's efforts to get away with Owen. He dropped the child off in a vacant lot.nn"I told that little girl, I said, 'Honey, you did exactly what you needed to do. Scream your head off.' That's what saved that baby. Her screaming and us running," said witness Dorothy Giddings.nnDeputies tell KXLY they are following up on leads. Of course, for those of you who believe in creationism of some kind, then you likely believe that a deity (or several) had a clever reason behind the birthing of each animal.nWe are all familiar with some of the largest household pets in the world, but what about the largest animals out in the wild? The animals in this video can rival, if not completely trump, the size of an average human. Does this mean danger for the human race? Well, only if these animals decide to revolt against homo sapiens. But these large animals are intimidating, so humans are doing their best to control the populations of the species with strict laws as well as poaching, captivity, and more.nFirst, we have the coconut crab, which is something out of anyone’s nightmares, especially if they’re afraid of shellfish. These crabs are nothing like the crab you might find on your dinner plate. The coconut crab can weigh as heavy as nine pounds and get to be three feet wide. They can also weigh up to 120 pounds. Recently, a coconut crab stopped traffic in Honolulu, Hawaii as it crossed the street. Cars stopped in the same way they would have stopped for a pedestrian. However, the coconut crab is illegal in the state of Hawaii because they steal food, destroy garbage cans, and eat cats, causing it to be a menace to society. The coconut crab is native to the Pacific Ocean area, but Hawaii has worked hard to eliminate it from their islands.nThen we have the oarfish, which was a figure of legend and lore, slithering at the bottom of the ocean. But it wasn’t until the body of a dead oarfish washed up on shore off the coast of Los Angeles, California, where people realized that the seventeen foot fish was reality and no longer fiction. Speaking of fish, the ocean sunfish is the heaviest bony fish in the world. They can weigh anywhere between 545 and 2,025 pounds and be up to ten and a half feet in height. Thus, making the sunfish bigger than the average human.nOn land, the Kodiak bear is one of two of the largest bears in the world. The Kodiak bear can be around eight feet long and weight between 500 and 700 pounds depending on the gender of the bear. Totally Rad ! nnnSwimming with Tigers -- If you’re going to train big cats, maybe this is the safest way to do it … Train the big cats while they’re still little. But even baby tigers can weigh around 200 pounds … that’s why handlers at an animal park in South Carolina joined the critters in the water as they monitor their progress. Did you know that tigers have a natural ability to swim … they have webbing between their toes that makes their feet function like flippers. The animal park decided to show off that aspect of the animals to audiences in a pool filled with 100,000 gallons of water. It’s considered a rare opportunity to see the animals underwater. However, the trainers say it’s inadvisable to swim with tigers once they’re over a year old … as they grow to 8 feet long and weigh more than 500 pounds, their swim time with humans becomes understandably limited.nnAnimal handlers specializing in training elephants obviously have a huge job … but sometimes the pachyderms can teach their trainers a few tricks. A circus elephant in southern Romania escaped from its cage … and then pulled a disappearing act as police tried to track it down. After the animal was spotted, officers arrived at the location ... only to find it had once again vanished. A city of 93,000 people was essentially shut down for hours while search parties combed the area, The huge beast was finally found on a nearby hill. The elephant's trainers were summoned to calm down the animal and return it to the circus. When asked how they let the beast escape, the trainers refused to acknowledge their blunder and said the pachyderm was deliberately released so it could enjoy the local scenery. nnCanine Cruise Control -- Animal trainers in New Zealand did something you’ll either think is really cool … or really crazy. They’ve taught a couple of dogs how to drive! In 2012, a ten-month old beardie crossbreed actually became the first dog in the world to drive a car. At the wheel of a specially modified Mini, he managed to negotiate a New Zealand race track. He was followed by a giant schnauzer who accomplished the same endeavor. Trainers said they accomplished this by teaching the animals to steer a wooden cart that they pulled along on a string. Within 8 weeks, the dogs progressed to driving an actual motorized vehicle. Their front paws were placed on the steering wheel, while their rear paws were set on levers attached to the brake and accelerator. Most important, of course, their handlers ensured that the dogs were securely buckled up. Do you think the trainers should have put these dogs behind the wheel?nnThe Canine Einstein -- Kirsty Forrester wasn’t a professional animal trainer when she bought her little dog a few years ago. Her shih tzu (sheet-zoo) Cooper turned out to be a fiercely intelligent pooch … and after Ms Forrester’s steady training, Cooper can now perform up to 60 tricks, from the basic ‘paw shake’ to counting how many treats are laid before him. It’s thought that his skill levels approximate that of an 18-month-old baby. Cooper’s owner and trainer says she started off with four months of puppy training classes … after the dog proved so intellectually advanced, she started training him at home and coming up with new tricks … and his favorite seems to be sorting shapes like squares and triangles and using his teeth to drop them in the proper slot. How did Cooper get so smart? Maybe it has to do with dogs taking on the personalities of their owners … nnJimbo -- Although this story doesn’t involve an animal trainer per se, Jim Kowalczik (ka-wahl-zik) still seems to know how to keep his ursine friends under control. How else to explain letting a 1,500 pound Kodiak bear take a marshmallow from your mouth? Mr Kowalczik and his wife Susan have cared for Jimbo the bear for nearly 23 years. The animal first arrived as a bottle-fed cub at the couple’s haven for injured or unwanted animals in upstate New York. Jimbo is actually among 11 bears staying at the couple’s nonprofit Orphaned Wildlife Center. While a Facebook video of Mr Kowalczik playing with Jimbo attracted millions of views earlier in 2016, experts strongly advise not to get up close and personal with bears … even if they’re captive animals. There’s always a chance their instincts could take over … not to mention the inherent dangers of rolling about with an animal that weighs close to a ton!
