Mr. G.E. presented to Dr. Bruce E. Ellison MD in June with knee pain. Mr. G.E. recalled twisting his knee the previous Friday, and had been using a crutch to assist in ambulation since that time. Mr. G.E. had not been able to fully extend the knee since his injury. Mr. G.E. knee pain reached 5/10 on pain scale at its worst, and typically increased with significant ambulation or activity. There was increased pain with certain twisting maneuvers of the leg. MRI of his right knee revealed questionable medial meniscus increased signal. After minimal improvement with conservative treatment and topical anti-inflammatory, Dr. Bruce E. Ellison MD performed a knee arthroscopy. Meniscus fragments were removed and Mr. G.E. returned to normal function. A few days following his knee surgery, Mr. G.E. noted that he no longer had the sharp knee pain that he had prior to surgery. #financial_support_div{ display:none; position: absolute; width:300px; height:140px; margin-left: -150px; margin-top: -70px; /*- half of width and height */ top:50%; left:50%; padding: 5px; opacity:0.9; filter:alpha(opacity=90); z-index:1000; background-color:#000; color: white; } .close_box{ background: gray; color:#fff; padding:1px 3px; display:inline; position:absolute; right:1px; margin-right: -13px; margin-top: -13px; border-radius:3px; cursor:pointer; border: 1px #000 solid; } $(document).on("click",".close_box",function(){ $(this).parent().fadeTo(300,0,function(){ $(this).remove(); }); }); Loading the player ... In an ongoing audition for the Waqar Zaka’s show Over the Edge, a brave girl Dr. Ayesha presented a very dangerous audition by putting a live snake up and out of the mouth. It was an eye-watering performance by this girl who presented a very dangerous act of inserting live snakes into her nostrils and pulling it out of her mouth. The Waqar Zaka gave the task to the girl who was claiming about doing anything. However, the way she was doing was not looking something new for her. She did it very smartly that was enough to prove she had already done it before. She slightly passes the snake through the passage which connects the back of the throat to the nasal activity. The girls very brilliantly take out a harmless snake – which measures up to two to three feet long – and pushed it through her nose before letting it slither out of her mouth alive. She is not professional at all it this but was doing this very carefully and like a professional. But it was simply awesome to prove the courage that girl who was claiming before the show to deliver the daring act and she proved it perfectly by accepting the audition challenge of Episode 4 of the Over the Edge. After searching over the internet, it is confirmed she is the first ever female in the world to insert a snake from her nose and pulls it from her mouth. Less

Your old profile on one of the first social media networks may have been hacked. MySpace log in details have been compromised and made available in an online hacker forum after a huge data dump. The usernames, passwords and email addresses were from the old MySpace platform. That was relaunched in 2013 with tougher security measures. MySpace said it has taken measures to ensure that nobody can get unauthorized access to anybody’s profile using the leaked details. Multimedia blogging platform Tumblr said it had also been hit by hackers. It said a third party had obtained access to a set of Tumblr user email addresses from three years ago. Security experts have advised internet uses to use different passwords for each online service in light of the breach. Less

For the third day running, violence has erupted in the Democratic Republic of Congo as police clashed with demonstrators denouncing electoral reforms. More than 40 people have died in the protests, according to the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) group – that is three times the official estimate. The unrest has hit the capital Kinshasa and Goma, the main city in the east. President Joseph Kabila is constitutionally barred from standing for a third term in an election scheduled for next year. Protesters are angry at a law that would require a national census be carried out before the poll, a move that could delay it by years thus allowing the president to put off standing down. As the situation deteriorates, the Archbishop of Kinshasa, Laurent Monsengwo, has condemned the electoral reform moves and told the authorities ‘stop killing your people’. Less

Democratic Republic of the Congo has scrapped plans for a national census before next year’s presidential elections. An electoral reform bill that required the census to be completed before a vote could take place sparked days of violent protests. A modified version of the bill was passed by the Senate on Friday (January 23). The International Federation for Human Rights said more than 40 people were killed during the unrest in the capital Kinshasa. Witnesses said at least one woman was killed and two students injured when police fired tear gas and live rounds to disperse thousands of angry protesters in the eastern city of Goma. The United Nations, US and France have called for restraint in handling the protests and urged elections to be held on time. The country’s opposition leaders said the original bill was aimed at extending the rule of President Joseph Kabila who became president in 2001 when his father, Laurent, was assassinated. Joseph Kabila went on to win elections in 2006 ad 2011 but, according to the constitution, cannot run for a third term. Less

In what is being described as a historic decision, the International Criminal Court (ICC) has found the Democratic Republic of Congo’s former vice president guilty of war crimes. Judges said Jean-Pierre Benba allowed his militia to commit atrocities against civilians, and found him guilty of rape, murder and pillage during a 2001-2002 conflict in the Central African Republic. It’s the ICC’s first conviction for rape as a weapon of war, making the ruling hugely significant. Less

At least 17 people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo following a violent anti-government rally. There were ugly scenes in Kinshasa as protesters gathered to demand President Joseph Kabila step down. Banned from running for a third term, his mandate is due to end in December. Security forces fired tear gas to disperse hundreds of demonstrators on a main road in the capital – Police were also accused of using live ammunition. “We are marching because we hate what is happening in our country. Firstly, (President) Kabila does not want to leave this country and does not want to organise a vote. That’s why today we are forced to protest to show our dissent for the 2016 elections. If Kabila does not respect the law, we will apply Article 64 of the constitution,” one protester said. According to the country’s interior minister three policemen were among the dead. The DRC’s national electoral commission was due to announce a date for the presidential election, due in November, on Monday, but has now said it is not possible to hold the ballot then. Less
