(WIVB) — Seven people faced charges in Cheektowaga Town Court Thursday morning, after a fight broke out at the Walden Galleria Wednesday. Cheektowaga Police arrested 20-year-old Charles Kelly, 22-year-old Isaiah Sanders, 22-year-old Isaiah Dunston, 21-year-old Devon Skipper, 24-year-old Ashley Skipper, 22-year-old Samuel Cornish and 22-year-old Delicia Jenifer. Each person was charged with disorderly conduct. Ashley Skipper was additionally charged with possession of a weapon, and Delicia Jenifer was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, because she had a baby in her arms while fighting. Ali explained, “What they were yelling was, ‘they killed my brother, they killed my brother,’ so I’m assuming that one of them killed somebody and never got charged or arrested, because no one snitched to the cops on who did it. So I guess they found him in the mall and that’s when it all blew down.”STORY Police arrest seven at mall brawl. “Honestly what was going through my head was this is what Buffalo has gotten to,” Ali said. “This isn’t the first time this happened at the Galleria Mall, so we’ve kind of gotten used to it by now.” Ali says he even saw one man taken away on a stretcher. Cheektowaga police say a man was treated with stitches after he sustained lacerations on his head. Pyramid Management Group released a statement about the fight, saying in part, “We are very concerned about the fight that occurred at Walden Galleria on Wednesday afternoon. The safety of our guests, tenants and employees has always been and will always be a top priority for The Pyramid Companies and management at Walden Galleria. We are always reviewing our security and safety measures and in this instance, our security officials followed proper procedures by immediately making an emergency call to the Cheektowaga police department.” Less
