Tras una etapa de silencio absoluto por la muerte de su padre, la artista a caballo entre Londres y Barcelona Mia (Mireia) Salazar (1983) regresa con su banda Big Head Troubled Boy y su tercer disco, Yellow, con siete temas y mucho más ruido que los anteriores. Un grupo que se ha movido en las fronteras del jazz, del indie, y del folk-punk vuelve ahora con nuevos sonidos y pasa de la guitarra acústica a la eléctrica. Añaden pianos y cuerdas a sus interpretaciones musicales. Mia Salazar ha coproducido el disco y esta es la primera vez que el grupo ha grabado en Barcelona con una banda local. El resultado es más cercano a Jeff Buckley y a Radiohead y se aparta de la bossa, el folk y el jazz que marcaban sus anteriores trabajos. Big Head Troubled Boy arrancó su carrera en 2009 con el álbum Broken y dio a luz su segundo trabajo en 2012 junto al trío Jazz Guerrilla Sound. Su título era San Antonio, publicado bajo su propio sello San Antonio Records y de él recupera paraYellow el tema Stop the Cars, pero en formato electrónico. Mia Salazar cuenta con un recorrido de 15 años en el mundo de la música y se ha desarrollado como artista en Londres. Viajera incansable, ha hecho desde house comercial por dinero a la música mexicana de sus raíces. There are many ways to do things in Photoshop but you must remember for whom you're doing it for. My way is the simple, easy way to do something for fun. Whereas professionally you would use the Pen Tool, this is more just freehand erasing and brushing on and believe me, you can't tell the difference (unless you're working with hair!)
