250913 Al Assad: Países árabes deberían seguir ejemplo de independencia latinoamericananCaracas, 25 Sep. AVN.- El presidente de Siria, Bashar Al Assad, enfatizó que los países árabes deberían seguir el ejemplo del proceso de independencia de las naciones de América Latina, para avanzar en la reducción del colonialismo en el mundo, así como fortalecer la soberanía y la autodeterminación de los pueblos.nn"Pienso que el trayecto de Latinoamérica es el mismo que deberían seguir los países árabes si deseamos tener un lugar en el mundo, con estabilidad y desarrollo", dijo el mandatario en entrevista exclusiva con el enviado especial de Telesur a Damasco, William Parra, transmitida la noche de este miércoles por el canal latinoamericano.nnEn la conversación, Al Assad abordó temas relacionados con la amenaza de intervención militar de Estados Unidos en su país, que enfrenta desde 2011 el ataque de terroristas y mercenarios apoyados por potencias occidentales y del Medio Oriente.nnEn este sentido, el mandatario sirio apuntó que en la región árabe aún falta mucho por hacer y que el conflicto sirio tiene que ver con la soberanía y la autodeterminación.nnVenezuela y Cuba, dijo, representan "un ejemplo importante para el camino hacia la independencia y la libertad a la que aspiran los pueblos para salir de la hegemonía occidental que ha durado muchas décadas, a través de la colonización directa o indirecta y que aun perdura".nnSigue: http://www.avn.info.ve/contenido/al-assad-pa%C3%ADses-árabes-deber%C3%ADan-seguir-ejemplo-independencia-latinoamericanannMiércoles 25 de Septiembre de 2013, 08:25 pmnnEl presidente de Siria, Bashar al-Assad, sostuvo este miércoles que no descarta la posibilidad de una agresión armada contra Siria, pese a la propuesta de paz impulsada por naciones como Rusia, China y otros países.nnAl Assad explicó, mediante una entrevista exclusiva concedida al enviado especial de teleSUR a Siria, William Parra, que "en cuanto a la posibilidad de que Estados Unidos lance un ataque contra Siria" siempre estará presente.nnEn ese contexto, indicó que "si echamos un vistazo a las anteriores guerras, en las políticas de Estados Unidos, por lo menos a partir de la primera mitad de los años cincuenta, vemos que es una política que va de una agresión tras otra".nnHizo referencia a los conflictos bélicos, directos e indirectos, emprendidos por Estados Unidos en Corea, Vietnam, Líbano, Somalia, Afganistán e Irak, "eso sin mencionar lo que hizo en Surámerica, donde instigó a los golpes de Estado y la muerte de millones de personas" y que conllevó al derrocamiento de decenas de gobiernos, aseguró el mandatario sirio.nnBashar Al Assad sostuvo que, con base en su apreciación, "las posibilidades para que una ofensiva militar siempre estarán presentes. En un momento bajo el pretexto de las armas químicas, y en otros momentos por pretextos diferentes".nnEn ese contexto, refirió que desde hace décadas Estados Unidos "está traspasando el Consejo de Seguridad, violando la Carta de Seguridad de la ONU (Organización de Naciones Unidas), y la soberanía de los Estados, violamos todos los valores humanos y morales".nnIntereses de EE.UU. en SiriannEl jefe de Estado de Siria señaló en torno a los posibles intereses de Estados Unidos en Siria que son contradictorios.nnEn ese orden de ideas, cuestionó que la nación norteamericana lo haga a través de la difusión del "terrorismo, destrucción y miedo".nnDestaca visión de Hugo Chávez y Nicolás MaduronnAl Assad también se refirió a la visión aportada por el comandante Hugo Chávez en la política internacional. "Chávez representa un camino hacia la independencia y la libertad el presidente Chávez y (Fidel) Castro siguen la misma línea, y miran desde la misma perspectiva y adoptan la misma trayectoria", sostuvo el mandatario sirio.nnDe igual manera, se refirió al presidente Nicolás Maduro e indicó que "representa la misma línea de Chávez: posee la tenacidad, la energía de nuestra región (...) continuará el camino hacia la independencia de Venezuela".nnTambién dejó ver las pretensiones que muchas naciones tenían de que "Venezuela regrese al patio de Estados Unidos con la ausencia de Maduro; esas esperanzas se desvanecieron. El trayecto de Latinoamérica es el mismo que deberían seguir los países árabes", sostuvo.nnEn torno al futuro político de Siria en caso de un ataque, el jefe de Estado indicó que el futuro político en el Medio Oriente depende de lo que ocurra en Siria.
