Legendary rock climber Alex Honnold scales Yosemite’s Half Dome, El Capitan and Mount Watkins without a rope, defying gravity to ascend the world’s most inspiring walls. Alex shares stories of his childhood visits to Yosemite, his travels to the best climbing on the planet, and his deep appreciation for America’s National Parks. (www.NationalParks.org/explore) The breathtaking beauty and epic size of Yosemite are featured, with spectacular video of its waterfalls, valleys, meadows, and ancient giant sequoias. The tranquility of the High Sierras and the quiet grace of Alex Honnold contrast the extreme danger of his free solo climbs. This video was shot before the Rim Fire and other 2013 fires at Yosemite. Brandlive and Livenation present the inaugural year of Squamish Valley Music Festival’s Visual Arts Program. The organizers have teamed up with local artist/curator Drew Young, to produce a robust site-wide program. The instalations were produced by 40+ locally/internationally celebrated artists, specializing in a wide spectrum artistic disciplines. Festival-goers engage immediately with 100’+ of sculptural works at main gates. Their course continues by installations including a massive rendition of this year’s Poly Bear mascot and ultimately arrive at the VA Program’s mecca - The Art Pavilion. The Pavilion is a 3-tiered arts castle; providing attendees a constantly evolving day/night arts experience and incredible vantage points for performances. The structure is wrapped in 20 live-painting murals and houses one of the world’s largest mechanized kaleidoscopes. At night it’s look is illuminated by an incredible light/laser display and a 40’ one-of-a-kind psychedelic interactive animation wall. nn This festival has become the playground the West Coast art community deserves. nnExecutive Producer: Paul Runnelsn Creative Director/Curator: Drew Youngn Project Manager: Jackie Sakaguchi nSite Director: Isaac Kinakin nLighting: Jason McKinnon nnPOLY BEAR nConcept: Drew Youngn Fabrication: Aaron Gullmes nAnimation/VJ: Jonny Ostrem nBear Design: Jeremiah Shaw nSchematics: Drew Young, Jonny Ostrem nnREACTIVE WALL nConcept: Jonny Ostrem nAnimation/VJ: Jonny Ostrem nnKALEIDOSCOPEn Concept: Drew YoungnDesign: Brayden Eshuis, Christian Honetschlager nFabrication: Christian Honetschlager nnART PAVILIONn Concept: Drew Young nLayout: Drew Youngn Managers: Lucy Cameron, Nick Poundnn Muralists:nIlya Viryachev nDrew Young nTierney MilnenShannon ElliottnJames KnightnISREKnPeter RicqnAlison WoodwardnAli BrucenLauren CouttsnBrent clowaternColin MoorenBen KnightnMark IllingnTIKTOKnLucy CameronnKarston SmithnTaka SudonBen TournMandy TsungnRussell AltonnDylan HumphreysnnGATESn Design: Drew Young nFabrication: Aaron Gullmesn Murals: Colin Moore, James Knight, Brayden Eshuisn Schematics: Drew YoungnSignage: James Knight, Eidan Gidonnn VIDEO nCamera: Joe Klymkiw, JOI Productionsn Edit: Drew Young nMusic: Runnin - GANG SIGNS (STINT Remix) Less

What’s it like to see our planet from above? To gaze upon the Earth from beyond our atmosphere? Four seasoned astronauts, Helen Sharman, Daniel Tani, Michael Barratt and Jean-Francois Clervoy, recall that unique experience.nnDay 8 of our advent calendar, A Place Called Space: http://rigb.org/adventnnThe view of Earth from space is one that few of us will ever get to experience. To see the planet as a single orb in the expanse of space can change the way you feel about your life, our species, and our place in the universe. It’s an experience currently reserved for the fortunate few who carry the torch of humanity into space.nnHelen Sharman, Daniel Tani, Michael Barratt and Jean-Francois Clervoy recall that moment when they first set eyes on our blue planet from above.nn‘A Place Called Space’ is the 2015 Royal Institution advent calendar. Every day in the run up to Christmas we'll be releasing an original piece of content exploring the human experience and cultural significance of space travel. With hand-drawn animations, experiments in zero gravity, interviews with astronauts and creative data visualisations, the calendar will fire you into space every morning.nn'A Place Called Space' channels the voices of seasoned astronauts and expert scientists through the eyes of a team of talented animators, film-makers and artists, bringing you a thought-provoking gem to kick-start each day.nCheck it out at http://rigb.org/adventnnWith special thanks to our lead supporter, Wellcome Trust. Predictive Programming and the Human Microchipping Agenda confirms the reality of the microchip agenda, and shows that the weapon of propaganda has been used against the public for decades in order to familiarize us with the idea of being chipped. This process is called predictive programming and its purpose is literally to program the mind of the victim so as to accept without question whatever is required by the programmer - in this case, the idea of being microchipped at some point in the future. The victim is generally unaware of being programmed, believing that it's all just harmless entertainment. For this reason it can be a powerful and effective weapon against us.nnBy explaining this process and giving example after example, Predictive Programming and the Human Microchipping Agenda is an attempt to alert the viewer to some of the ways in which we have been manipulated throughout our lives for the specific purpose of slowly but surely shepherding us all into a Hellish world of microchip implants and totalitarian control. We hope that by exposing the programming we can break the program and derail this diabolical agenda. To be successful we need your help.nnWE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT BE CHIPPED!nnJoin the movement at www.wethepeoplewillnotbechipped.com Less

A video collage of HD footage shot from small Free-Flight & R/C airplanes inside the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. This video was made with the help of the National Building Museum staff and the DCMaxecuters. dcmaxecuter.org The FreeFlight Airplane Was trimmed to fly in a circle autonomously withnno human control. It's motor is run on a small electronic timer set before the flight. You can see it's blue tissue covered wing and hear it's electric motor in the collage of other video. It's camera was a small usb pen camera made by ST electronics stripped down to weight about 7 grams. The entire plane weighed an ounce, with a 200 square inch wing area. The HD video was shot from heavily modified indoor R/C aircraft and a stripped down USB cube camera. It's ironic that I cannot fly outside within a 20 miles radius of DC but I can fly inside my house and at the NBM. Less

This is the music video for the song "Space Diaspora" of OY's [https://www.oy-music.com/video] new album bearing the same name.nnThe musicians Joy & Lleluja - about the clip & song:nOn our new album we tell the story of mankind’s future on a imaginary planet called Space Diaspora. So Space Diaspora is the second single and the title track of our new album.nThe song is the beginning of this space opera and tells the story of the departure & transformation of planet Earth in and onto Space Diaspora.nWe couldn’t have been more lucky than to have Moritz Reichartz illustrate and interpret this story for us. The clip allows further imagination and interpretation.. and so we invite people to participate and build their own story. n‘After all, in spite of all technological inventions, the farthest we can travel is still with our minds.’nnThe label sais:nLife on Space Diaspora is a reflection and a distortion of our own struggling world, conveying sentiments of modern alienation and transnational identity. OY’s thoughtful and humorous, tongue-in-cheek approach looks back at current times from the vantage point of a chaos-driven but blooming society in our own future. A vision which elicits tears as well as smiles, and praises the huge potential of the in-between.nnThe director Moritz Reichartz about the clip:nTechnically speaking, the video is generated almost without keyframes, which are traditionally an essential tool for computer based animation. I work with these nokeyframe techniques for the last two years (latest publised result is "Hands Off [AI]" www.momade.de/hands-off-a-i) as i found they often produce unforseable, better than imagination results that are filled with a lot more life and provide a wide spectrum of outcome to choose from.nDynamic simulations, noise and time driven animations and textures, hair systems, formula based deformers, force and turbulence guided particle systems and many caches baked in specefic chronological orders brig this story to life.nThe process for the video was more the one of a labrotory rather that the one of inbetweening classical storyboard images in squares. Probably not more that 40 keyframes, mostly used for the camera work where used in this project.nnCREDITS:nMusic: OY [https://www.oy-music.com]nDerection, Design, Animation and Images: Moritz Reichartz Less
