Fartlek training is simply defined as periods of fast running intermixed with periods of slower running. Just set a fixed time to run/jog/walk even if you have to walk don't stop moving. If you're in your neighborhood, pick a light pole sprint to the next one and jog to another and just keep moving until you reach your distance or time goals. This is really good for athletes who are conditioning for distance running, basketball, soccer, and rugby. Less

Thanks Ben!nnThe edit was done by my friend Edwin. He also worked after hours and sacrificed his free time on this. For my final Frame & Sequence Narrative, I made an experimental short based on a poem I wrote called "The End of a Trail Line" (which I will be posting up soon!). During the shoot, I decided to shoot some extra footage and that's basically how I ended up compiling this less-than-one-minute short capturing the final stanza of the poem. Hope you guys like this! [Scroll down for the complete poem]nnn"The end of a train line; a seemingly dark, dismal place where everything comes to a halt. Time lapses and we are stuck in this chasm. Separate, isolated, detached from the chaos of the city.nnThe end of a train line; an almost peculiar place. There is an odd sense of tranquility that busy people are not used to. It’s different to the city. It is not fast, nothing changes, everything stays the same.nnHmm... The end of a train line…nnIt’s a place where the working class retreat from the city to their suburban homes. Such drained, lifeless zombies. A TV dinner awaits in the microwave. Curtains are closed and the kitchen lights flicker. Their kids are already fast asleep.nnIt’s a place which haunts the young adults from the city. Supposedly forced to spent time at their grandparents nursing home or family beach house. They sit there on their iPhones, mesmerised by the little fucking apps reminding them that at least they wont be bored this weekend.nnIt’s a place where the recently wedded move to find their nice family home. You know, raise their children, white picket fences and all that bullshit. it’s funny. They forget about all the fun they used to have being young and free, drinking sidecars and martinis at their favourite bars. It’s still a blur for the “lucky bunch”.nnThe end of a train line.nnThese stretches of rusted iron tracks and overlapping underground systems, which eventually break through the skyscrapers into the outskirts of the city is where I go touched on the weekends. It is my sanctuary.nnSometimes I need a break from all of this fucking shit. Sometimes I need to ground myself. Sometimes I just need space.nnYou don't get that in the city. Everything moves too quickly. Your feet barely touch the ground as you pass each block. You forget who you are and you stumble... falling into a never ending spiral… losing yourself.nnThe end of a train line.nnIt is a place where I can escape the neon lights of the city and see the stars again. The world sort of stops and I take a deep breath. A warm summer breeze reaches upon the shore, picking up the fine grains of sands and the cool salty sea spray. I am alone. I drift into my expansive selves and explore the limits of my own Identity. Wondering who I am. Who I’m meant to be.nnThe ends of train lines." - By Joshua H. Davy Less
