,,,,, Oh!, No!,,,, Oh!, Yes!,,, nothing left in the cast iron skillet,, beautiful, simply beautiful,,, and the aroma, can you smell it?,, there it was, penciled in,, in the back of the book,, just a simple basic recipe for an "el-cheapo" (you only need one apple), applesauce upside cake,, preheat the oven to 350 degrees,1 cup plus some more of applesauce, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp each of baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, pure vanilla extract, a dash of salt, and do not forget a handfull of instant grits, ((no eggs, no milk, no water)) mix well as you add the ingredients,, mix,add,mix,add, well you get the picture,,,,,, no need to waste time on too much mixing,, in the cast iron skillet, 1/2 cup of melted butter (use margarine in place of butter and call it vegan), 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of regular sugar, mix well, now slice that apple kinda thin and place on top of the sugar-butter mixture, warm in oven for about 10? minutes, now pour batter into the skillet and bake for about 35 to 45 minutes,, poke a stick in 'er and if it comes out clean, dump 'er upside down on a aluminum foil covered pizza pan,, enjoy,, you did bake two, didn't you?,, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on,, Less
