The recent 10-year anniversary of the Rip Curl International GromSearch at Lakey Peak, Dompu, was held in the best surf ever for a Rip Curl GromSearch event. All surfers were greeted with pristine conditions for the entire event, especially the boys final on the last day of competition. The final saw Californian Pat Curren come away with the win, followed by Australian Jacob Willcox, in what was a hard fought final that included deep tubes and critical turns. About GromSearch: The Rip Curl GromSearch is an International Series of events for male and female surfers aged 16 years and under. It all started as a one day event at Jan Juc beach (Torquay, Australia) back in 1999 and is now in it's 16th year.
