Winona Ryder Teases BEETLEJUICE 2 Details Subscribe to ClevverMovies: http://bit.ly/clevvermoviesBeetlejuice 2 just wouldn't be same without the whole gang getting back together, and it looks like that might be happening. We recently reported to you that director Tim Burton and Beetlejuice himself, Michael Keaton, were both in talks to join the sequel, with a script that is being written by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Dark Shadows screenwriter Seth Grahame Smith. Winona Ryder, who played the awkward, goth teenage daughter Lydia in the original Beetlejuice back in 1988, confirmed to The Daily Beast that she had been in talks about returning to reprise her role. The actress said that while she's been sworn to secrecy, she does think that it will happen, and that the new movie will be a sequel and definitely not a remake. She said quote "It's 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later."Audiences are a bit hard to please when it comes to sequels to their favorite movies, and Ryder understands that and agrees, and wouldn't even think about returning if Tim Burton and Michael Keaton weren't already on board. Ryder confirmed that she hasnt read anything yet, that the script is being written. She also said that she hasn't even had time to process the details but she told MovieWeb quote "Im game for anything with Tim pretty much, even just to like be on the set."
