This is my take on Lego's 8275 bulldozer model from a few years ago. It was nice enough, but I've always loved the CAT designs, so this is my alternative using a few extra or alternative parts. It has a novel drive system which makes control more precise and means it's guaranteed to drive in a straight line and I've managed to shoehorn in a method to actuate pneumatic cylinders by remote control to raise the blade. No custom parts are used anywhere and it's controlled by the standard 2 channel remote from 8275. It is a little slower, but still packs quite a punch and the suspension means it has a lot more grip. I decided to dispense with the ripper as it never added much play value (in my opinion), though I've included hitch points for possible rear tool attachment. And, yes, I've shamelessly re-used the blade! The rest is entirely my own creation. I've made a profile for it on Cuusoo (for anyone that doesn't know, this is a site where can upload your models for people to vote on. If a model gets over 10000 votes, Lego review it for making into an actual set), so if you like it, I'd really appreciate your vote! I'm a great believer in encouraging ingenuity, so I won't be making instructions or detailing it out piece by piece (unless it actually gets made into a set!!), but I'll give a little head start on the drive system: It uses two differentials.
